What your days might look like

Reporting to the Head of Creative & Design; We’re looking for a Design Lead to join our global creative team, as we shape our vision to change employment for good. The right candidate will be our brand custodian and creative powerhouse, leading and inspiring a high performing, best in class multidisciplinary design team to deliver highly effective strategic creative work.

As our Design Lead you will

• Provide design direction to the team, overseeing the creative outputs of the design studio.
• Own concept development, creative direction, and brand application for integrated campaigns and creative project delivery, including campaign identities, OOH, digital and micro sites, editorial content, reports, social media assets, video, and experience design direction.
• Drive the development of audience-focused creative for brand campaigns and multi-channel marketing initiatives to meet business targets.
• Create visually compelling creative assets that align with our brand identity, exploring new design territories across digital ads, social media content, email, landing pages, presentations, event collateral, print materials, and motion content.
• Present vision, concepts, and solutions to stakeholders, communicate the impact of design in solving business problems, rationalise decisions, and incorporate feedback.
• Be a creative voice in the business, contributing ideas and offering a design perspective to discussions.
• Collaborate with a global team of writers, designers, and external agencies to conceptualise and execute integrated marketing campaigns from initial ideation to final delivery, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and strategic objectives.

The role is fully remote, requiring a self-starting team player with diverse experience across brand, design and creative – able to craft campaigns and design for all content types from digital, print and everything in-between across the Employment Hero house of brands. 

What you will bring

• 8+ years agency/design industry experience in a fast-paced environment.

• 4+ years leadership/management experience is required for this role.

• Seasoned designer/creative with a varied and highly creative portfolio showcasing award winning work across marketing campaigns, creative projects and social content. 
• Passion for creativity, branding, design, and everything motion.
• A natural storyteller, with interest in video, digital content, and social trends - who always seeks to push boundaries, innovate, and elevate brand experiences through outstanding visual storytelling.
• Willingness to take ownership and learn, with a flexible mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• High proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) Bonus: AfterEffects and Premiere Pro.
• Familiarity with project management and marketing operations tooling, for example - Slack (comms), Asana (project management), Hubspot (email marketing) and Canva (templates), Google Slides (presentations).

Bonus Points:

• Motion graphics / video editing experience (After Effects and Premiere Pro).
• Experience working with CSS / basic understanding of Javascript.
• Experience working with frontend developers.
• Experience with HTML5 and Google Web Designer.
