Brand Designer

Modern Treasury provides essential financial infrastructure for the new era of payments. Most financial workflows today rely on outdated infrastructure and a patchwork of tools. We are building a modern financial platform that combines centralized dashboards and a suite of APIs to help companies move, track, and reconcile money in real time, unlocking new revenue and driving business efficiency.

We are seeking a freelance Brand Designer to join our multidisciplinary Brand team for a full-time, embedded 6-month contract (~July 2024 to ~January 2025). US-only, remote OK.

The Brand team’s responsibilities cover the full spectrum of Modern Treasury’s go-to-market efforts, including visual design, publications, web design, design engineering, video, and animation. We design, code, illustrate, film, animate, and edit.

In this role, you will produce designs and assets to support content marketing and growth projects. Some common deliverables include illustrations for our Journal, diagrams for ebooks, social media assets, digital ad designs, asset for new web pages, and deck touchups.

The ideal candidate should be adept at working within a brand design system across various marketing executions. Animation experience is a plus. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Brand for creative direction, brand writers, as well as cross-functional partners.

• Minimum 3 years of agency/team experience or equivalent

• Strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in creating visually appealing and thoughtful designs

• Proficiency in design software: Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator (AfterEffects is a nice-to-have)

• A refined grasp of design fundamentals: typography, color, and layout

• Experience with illustration, image-making, and preferably animation

• Ability to deliver work to production

• Experience in working collaboratively with brand writers and marketers
