Brand Designer for Sora Union

Sora Union is a professional services company specializing  in design, localization, engineering, staffing and QA projects for businesses, organizations and governments. The Sora Union team is globally distributed and made up of diverse and talented professionals impacted by or at risk of displacement due to conflict or climate change.

We’re currently looking for a Senior Brand Designer who loves both design, brand projects from start to finish, and hands-on design work and is excited to contribute to the culture and philosophy of an early-stage distributed company. You would be responsible for defining the visual language for various brands in a clear and inspiring way to help them stand out in their markets.

YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Work with the brand design manager to understand client requirements.
• Articulate and lead the creative vision for various brands across all markets and consumer/customer touchpoints (ATL/BTL).
• Evaluate existing designs and make professional recommendations for improvements.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and incorporate them into designs and client projects.
• Undergo all stages of the brand design process – from building initial brand strategy through to market research, sketches, developing of brand identity, and development of style guides.
• Be comfortable with independently prioritizing activities in alignment with project/client/company goals.
• Building trusted relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
• You are an expert collaborator. You’re a team player who can work just as effectively with your design team peers.

IDEALLY, YOU’LL HAVE:

• A minimum of 8+ years of professional design experience in brand identity.
• In-depth understanding of brand development across various market verticals.
• Passion for creating thoughtfully crafted brand identities and strategies.
• Proficiency in executing creative design stages collaboratively with other team members.
• Strong attention to detail, continuous learning, flexibility, and creativity.
• Keen aesthetic sense for typography, color, functionality, and accessibility.
• Solid skills in concept development, communication, collaboration, research, problem-solving, and presentations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• B2 level English language proficiency or higher.

The Brand Designer role is a full-time, 6 month contract position initially reporting to Design Manager, with a direct working relationship within a design pod. This role is a distributed position, and can be based in any location.
