Brand Director
Job Description

As a Surgical Retina Brand Director, you will be trusted to promote the organization's products across multiple channels. One will also be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating the assigned Surgical Retina product lines through all facets of marketing in Fort Worth, TX!
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create and manage marketing programs and business plans to achieve product portfolio revenue, Operating Income, and market share goals
- Lead, manage, and develop any Brand Managers / Senior Brand Managers that may be reporting to you at a given time in the implementation of plans
- Formulate and review corporate short and long-range plans, goals, and objectives for specific product line(s)
- Conduct competitive product analysis and market research of market dynamics, brand(s) behavior, and various customer stakeholders
- Determine the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements
- Develop production and marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effective product placement relative to market opportunity
- Work closely with product development for brand(s) over entire life cycle
- Work with stakeholders to finalize product specifications and market needs
- Provide appropriate promotion and advertising delivering core brand equity
- Serve as technical adviser to cross-functional partners, demonstrating an ability to troubleshoot problems and offer insight on possible solutions
- Build and develop proficiencies and capabilities of Marketing direct reports
- Lead and support Marketing Associates to ensure efficiency, professional development, coaching and performance management
- Participate as an active member of the Marketing Leadership Team, shaping culture and optimal ways of working to support our business objectives
- Lead development and execution of annual marketing/brand plans for respective product portfolio and development of long-range strategic plans for the US Surgical business in brand categories under the Surgical Retina umbrella including but not limited to equipment, CustomPaks and PikPaks, DSPs, Laser probes, and tamponade agents
- Lead and coordinate activities with other functional areas (e.g., Finance, Medical Affairs, Quality, S&OP, Global Franchise) that affect product/portfolio lines
- Remove obstacles and accelerate opportunities by elevating to US Surgical senior leadership
- Provide mentorship and support to Sales Force with appropriate level of training, promotional materials, and commercial programs aligned to overall U.S. Surgical Retina and Surgical business objectives
- Provide technical expertise for questions, issues or requirements related to product portfolio responsibilities
- Interact with key customers to build advocacy for key brands and product portfolio
- Analyze all professional promotional programs to determine return on investments
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalency of years of directly related experience (Assoc.+14 yrs.; M.S.+7 yrs.; PhD+6yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- 10 Years of Relevant Experience
- 6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
