Job Summary

This role exists to support the strategy, development and use of OneAmerica brand assets within our organization. This role works collaboratively with organizational leaders and peers to develop brand execution standards, training, and governance of delivery methods. This role uses specialized knowledge of the lines of business, enterprise voice and marketing methodologies to help cross-functional teams identify brand opportunities and solve brand challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize expert knowledge of our customers and stakeholders, business lines, products, and services as well as our enterprise voice to develop best practices for use of brand assets across sales, marketing, service delivery functions. Communicate, document, and resolve brand issues with department leaders.
  • Uses specialized marketing and brand knowledge to lead others in developing creative strategies for business aligned brand programs, projects, and campaigns.
  • Partners with designers, writers, marketers, communications, media producers and other production focused roles to guide and align strategic brand opportunities and support consistent brand execution while solving brand problems as they occur in various customer experiences or delivery channels.
  • Develop weekly/monthly/quarterly brand marketing strategies to drive brand into business portfolios, and enterprise brand goals. Contribute to the development of individual contributors and OneAmerica business functions brand acumen.
  • Collaborate with Brand, Events & Creative Leader to maintain and evolve enterprise brand strategies, value propositions, and ensure the brand function develops in alignment to enterprise programs and projects.
  • Lead the documentation, dissemination, and training for brand enterprise standards.
  • Develop strategies for developing brand KPI's and the delivery of the associated metrics reporting.
  • Conduct brand and marketplace research to support the proactive evolution of our brand.
  • Conduct annual brand audits to ensure brand assets are being correctly deployed, maintained and deprecated when no longer relevant.


Job Requirements

Required Education and/or Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, or design


Required Work Experience

  • 7-10 years of agency or in-house creative strategy and execution experience developing creative marketing strategies to develop and build brands in an omni-channel environment.
  • 5-7 years of experience with brand building tools including content planning systems, design systems, content creation tools and SEM/SEO practices.
  • Ability to self-organize and self-manage to achieve results in a fast-paced and information rich environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills. Must be comfortable communicating to peers as well as executives.
  • Ability to creatively develop design, events, narrative and channel specific brand strategies that align to specific business goals.
  • Strong skills developing standards documentation and organizing information, assets and workflows to support delivery teams.
  • Business acumen in the life insurance, institutional retirement plan, or group benefits product space a plus.
  • Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background


Salary Band: 07B

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN.The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, WI, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
