All of this begins with our team collaborating in an inclusive, values-driven, and learning-oriented environment.
To achieve our ambitious goals, we're looking for a Brand Experience Writer to join our Writing and Content Design team. This role will own the creation of brand-forward and user-centric copy to drive Grammarly's product growth and user acquisition efforts-while also upholding and strengthening brand experience across all surfaces. In close partnership with stakeholders across Design, Marketing, and Growth Product teams, the Brand Experience Writer will strategize, develop, and review copy across channels-including landing pages, emails, product messaging, campaign assets, and other content.
The Writing and Content Design team sits on Grammarly's Brand Design team within the overall Design organization with writers, editors, designers, design operations, and researchers. As part of the Product organization, the Design team has the unique opportunity to define how people interact with our product and how our brand comes to life in every interaction and iteration.

You'll be a voice for accurate and compelling product expressions throughout Grammarly's brand ecosystem.
In this role, you will:
  • Concept, develop, write, and edit product-focused content across channels to help people understand the value of Grammarly's product offerings-then adopt them.

  • Assess and act on creative briefs to deliver creative work at all levels of the product, growth, and marketing funnel.
  • Manage multiple projects with variable scopes and deadlines, from needs assessment to delivery.
  • Partner with Grammarly's Acquisition, Lifecycle Marketing, and Growth Product teams while closely collaborating with brand experience and growth designers.
  • Deliver high-impact copy for a wide array of assets and flows, including landing pages, video scripts, blogs, ads, microcopy, retention emails, user sign-up flows, insights emails, and newsletters.
  • Write with the user experience in mind, and advocate for the user in everything you do.
  • Write content for targeted audiences (professionals, consumers, college students, universities, businesses/B2B, IT, developers).

  • Is able to collaborate in person in San Francisco 3 weeks per quarter.
  • Has worked as a mid-level copywriter or brand writer with experience writing web content and video scripts; has interest and ability in UX writing (and may be looking to make that transition in their career).
  • Has a portfolio of well-crafted copy for technology companies.
  • Is comfortable writing for product and brand marketing channels across B2C, B2B, and other audiences; can quickly transition from short to long-form, creative to technical tone, in-product to top-of-funnel.
  • Can use data, insights, and marketing and research strategy to inform writing decisions; understands SEO, CRO, and UXR principles as well as copy/content testing.
  • Can manage multiple projects with variable scopes and deadlines; is comfortable working with complex project management software.
  • Can ensure copy and content meets a high bar for excellence without being overly rigid; has a sharp eye for copy mechanics, style guide usage, grammar, and consistency.
  • Has excellent communication, stakeholder management, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Can learn new subject matters quickly-implementing feedback, giving constructive feedback, and positively contributing to a collaborative environment.
