The Brand Manager, Sally Hansen, is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of business and marketing strategies to drive profitable growth for the Sally Hansen portfolio. He/She will lead development of the marketing and promotional activities of the responsible brand franchises, along with business analysis, planning, and forecasting. He/She will contribute to the total effectiveness of the brand by offering business recommendations and creative ideas, communicating openly, and proactively solving problems.

In addition, the Marketing Manager will coordinate commercial execution programs across the integrated marketing team - including Global Marketing, Local Marketing, Local Trade Marketing, E-Commerce, In-Store, and external agency partners to ensure seamless in-market execution.

The Marketing Manager is versatile and knows his/her market, portfolio, and consumers better than anyone else. He/She has a strong analytical, leadership and communication skills and is highly attuned to both the competitive environment and pop culture. He/She is detail oriented, has high quality standards and is capable of managing complexity across numerous stakeholders to deliver results on time with excellence.

In this role you will be responsible for:

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT & STRATEGY:

  • Ongoing business analysis and reporting of monthly sales data (Nielsen). Analyze and derive insights from sales trends, customer trends, competitive performance, and industry trends to recommend both short and long-term strategic choices and actions to the business. Prepare reports and executive presentations for senior management
  • Partner with team members on forecasting monthly consumption based on sales trends. Proficient P&L management and ownership
  • Partner with team members on budget management for Sally Hansen, including a monthly reconciliation with budget actuals.
  • Manage Sally Hansen's national consumer promotional plans, including FSI, dFSI, and cash-back activities.
  • Monitor excess and obsolete inventory and provide strategic recommendations on how to reduce / mange.

LAUNCHING INNOVATION & SUPPORTING BASE BUSINESS

  • Lead the planning and launch execution for Sally Hansen franchises, collaborating with brand marketing peers and cross-functional partners to delivery with excellence brand initiatives that win in the market.
  • On the development and execution of marketing support initiatives to drive core base business.
  • Conduct twice per year new initiative sizing for innovation P&L, including detailed sku-level benchmarks, launch assumptions and recommended discontinuations.
  • Monitor commercial readiness milestones and facilitate communication between Sales Operations and Global marketing to ensure are completed on time.
  • Lead cross-functional development of Local Partnership and Limited-Edition collections. Key liaison between external partners and internal Brand Marketing team.

MEDIA / ADVERTISING / PR:

  • Collaborate with Manager, Social & Digital and ABM Influencer Marketing in developing paid and earned media briefs.
  • Review & provide comprehensive feedback to Manager, Social/Digital on local media assets throughout process of media plan execution.
  • Review and provide comprehensive feedback to Manager, Influencer Marketing on PR materials.

PREPARATION OF SALES / RETAILER MATERIALS

  • Prepare sales materials, including internal webinar presentations to Sales teams and retailer line review presentation materials.
  • Act as key contact for Sales Information team to ensure commercial readiness milestones are completed on time.
  • Present on behalf of brand in meaningful customer-facing events, including line reviews, innovation reviews and beauty advisor trainings.

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES

  • People management of 1 direct report.
  • Key liaison and brand representative in all cross-functional and leadership meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

We'd love to see candidates who have:

Essential:

  • 4-year Undergraduate Degree
  • 5+ years minimum of relevant work experience in marketing
  • Beauty / Color Cosmetics / Mass Customer experience strongly preferred
  • Familiar with Nielsen Database / NPD Reporting; MS Office Proficient (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Must be a self-starter, professionally mature, accountable, resourceful, organized and highly detail-oriented with accurate work output
  • Must possess the ability to build, foster and nurture strong relationships and gain the respect of members of the cross-functional and affiliate teams
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent Microsoft skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Must be passionate about Beauty and the opportunity to bring a sense of everyday luxury and well-being to consumers via Scenting.
