We are seeking an exceptional Brand Marketing Director to join our dynamic ForbesLive and integrated media marketing team. In this strategic role, you will be instrumental in shaping and communicating Forbes' brand story as we embark on the next chapter of our iconic history. With over 104 years of innovation driving our success, we are looking for a passionate and strategic marketer who recognizes the power of storytelling to engage our diverse audiences.

As the Brand Marketing Director, you will play a vital role in driving commercial revenue by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as integrated marketing, editorial, events, research, content and design, and sales. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with key C-suite and senior leaders across the organization, contributing to the overall growth and success of Forbes.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Forbes Brand Marketing expert, effectively communicating our brand story in the marketplace and nurturing relationships with our largest and growing customers
  • Enhance and optimize our client-facing integrated media website, Forbes Connect, by refining site storytelling, copy and imagery; collaborate with the demand-gen marketing team to develop an impactful SEO strategy
  • Act as the primary contact for establishing strategic partnerships with external organizations to elevate our brand position and drive revenue growth
  • Collaborate and multitask with cross-functional teams such as sales, account management, audience development, PR & social, and content & design as needed
  • Develop relationships with vendors that enhance the Forbes sales and marketing process workflow (i.e. research partners, pickit, docsend, and others)
  • Play a collaborative role in strategizing and executing marketing campaigns across various business units, including integrated media, growth, and consumer
  • Contribute to the creation and development of various Forbes brand materials, such as the Forbes media kit, franchise, and core platform materials
  • Stay up-to-date of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to inform and enhance Forbes marketing strategies
  • Lead the development of Forbes program award submissions working closely with our content, PR and design teams
  • Work closely with our creative design team to develop brand guideline templates and materials
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including content teams, sales teams, and external partners

The ideal candidate:

  • 5-7 years of marketing or brand strategy experience, preferably in the media industry
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and an appreciation for design to enhance your deliverables are essential
  • Previous experience in building brand materials; development of franchise materials, events, custom content, digital, social, and video, is highly desirable
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Results-driven strategic thinker, capable of influencing and collaborating as an empathetic team player; establishing strong internal and external relationships will be crucial to gaining trust in your creative thinking and marketing expertise
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to anticipate needs, innovate, and excel in a fast-paced sales environment that requires solution- and detail-orientation
  • Executive presence and comfortability working closely with clients and/or agency partners
  • An entrepreneurial spirit in line with the Forbes brand
  • Samples that showcase your 'best of' work, highlighting the strength of your writing and design


The annual base salary range for this role is $110,000 - $125,000

Forbes has estimated the compensation range set forth above in good faith.ย  The compensation range is what we believe we will offer, and ultimately pay, a successful candidate.ย  In determining this range, we consider the experience, level of education (if applicable to the role), knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be had by a successful candidate as well as the budget and the companyโ€™s pay rates, generally.
