Position Overview:

The Brand Marketing Manager is a key role within the Product Marketing Team tasked with defining, designing, and delivering successful Go-To-Market strategies in support of the Samsung smartphones portfolio.

This is a hybrid role, working in the office part of the week/working remotely part of the week.
Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Supports the learning agenda for the assigned smartphone product line in collaboration with the Consumer & Shopper Insight Teams and Product Management.
  • Identifies the definition of the target consumer, the value proposition and portfolio segmentation through data and insights analysis.
  • Will Support the design and delivery of the Go to Market Strategy by leading its internal alignment within both SEA and HQ stakeholders, delivering the analysis required to define the Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures (OGSM).
  • Lead the foundational elements of the communication strategy from 1) translation of the target consumer into addressable audiences, communities and opportunity segments 2) leading the preparation of the messaging strategies and toolkits
  • Co-Lead the preparation of the Integrated Marketing Communication plans by providing leadership across multiple teams, inclusive of Media, Creative, Influencers, Brand Experience, Partnerships, Public Relations
  • Review all communications assets for brand alignment, including: advertising, promotional materials, public relations announcements and press releases
  • Support the performance management by ensuring all campaigns, programs and activations deliver against aligned Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures

Background/Experience Required:
  • 6+ years of experience in leading the marketing strategy and execution in a consumer centered organization is required. Experience in the CPG or Electronics business is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience using Consumer/Shopper/Category data and insights analysis to define, design and deliver successful Go-To-Market strategies is required.
  • Proven performance in developing and executing strategies that deliver wins for the consumer, the customer and the company.
  • Must have experience developing effective marketing strategies to achieve set objectives through applying Marketing Mix fundamentals and determining how to best leverage the optimal media mix.
  • Understanding of media performance by channel, and ability to provide clear objectives and success measures linked to the overall business objectives
  • Direct management and ownership of two or more of the following is a plus: Portfolio Management, Brand Positioning definition, New Product Launches, Performance Marketing Management, Consumer Research, P&L Management.

  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels, internally and externally.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.
  • Review detailed product development, marketing documents and media materials as needed.
  • Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels.
  • Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve customer business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
  • The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometime vaguely defined objectives.

Physical/Mental Demands:
  • The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
  • Work is generally performed in an office environment.
  • Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time.
  • The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds.
