Brand Marketing Manager/ Sr Manager
Job Description
Core remit: Your primary focus will be to develop and execute plans that enhance the Thomson Reuters brand perception, familiarity, and top-of-mind recall through compelling brand marketing campaigns and activations.
Who You'll Work With: You will be part of the Brand Strategy team within the Brand Marketing organization, reporting to the VP of Brand Strategy. You will closely collaborate with the Director of Brand Marketing Strategy, who sets the annual strategies and plans, providing strategic oversight for campaign and activation activities. Your role will also involve working closely with partner teams, such as the Content Marketing COE, Thomson Reuters Institute (thought leadership), Corporate Communications, Demand Gen Marketing, Digital, and Employee Engagement, to plan and manage brand marketing activations and enterprise marketing efforts.
About the Role
In this opportunity as a Brand Marketing Manager/Sr Manager, you will:
- Develop and execute brand campaigns through paid and owned media channels, including digital advertising, paid search, paid social, content syndication, sponsorships and more.
- Ensure a cohesive brand experience across key owned marketing channels, such as the corporate marketing website, corporate social channels, and events, collaborating with the teams responsible for these channels.
- Conduct customer research studies in collaboration with the market research team to measure the resonance and impact of brand activation efforts, campaigns, content, and messaging where relevant.
- Collaborate with the marketing performance team to track, measure, report, and analyze the performance of campaigns and activations.
- Provide support for key brand efforts and priorities, potentially leading workstreams for brand remediation, brand roll-out efforts, or integration efforts for acquisitions, depending on current priorities and needs.
- Drive employee brand engagement to foster ongoing enthusiasm and support for our brand.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Brand Marketing Manager/Sr Manager if your background includes:
- Bachelor's degree required. Focus in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 - 7+ years of experience in brand strategy, brand marketing, marketing strategy, or marketing campaign planning roles.
- Strong understanding of brand strategy and the ability to develop and execute brand campaigns.
- Experience in creating and implementing brand guidelines is highly valued.
- Familiarity with legal, tax, compliance, or risk and fraud industries is a plus.
- Proficiency in market research techniques to gather insights into customer behavior, market trends, and competitive analysis.
- Familiarity with digital marketing channels and strategies.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams, navigate matrixed organizations, collaborate effectively, and influence others.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze market data, interpret results, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present ideas and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive problem solver with a creative mindset.
- Strong knowledge of industry best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies.
