General Description:
The Affiliate Lead will demonstrate the ability to manage client affiliate programs and deliverables across client verticals and platforms. The Affiliate Lead will report into the Affiliate Director and is responsible for leading and managing the execution of affiliate campaign performance and strategies to ensure on-time delivery and properly communicate initiatives to help achieve client goals. This position plays an important role in leading the development and growth of the affiliate channel team and providing project expertise to clients, partners, and other external audiences. Core responsibilities include day-to-day management of affiliate programs through platforms, strategic partnership development, client communication and helping the channel work cross functionally within PMG.
Responsibilities:
- Builds trust and maintains strong client and partner relationships
- Acts as the primary point of contact for clients and is responsive to all client requests and inquiries regarding their affiliate programs
- Proactively builds partner relationships in the channel and is point of contact for day-to-day partner communication
- Understands clients' brands, structure, and industry
- Leads and participates in client meetings and presentations
- Works closely with Strategy, Brand teams and Affiliate Director to execute clients' strategic plans and provide best in class solutions
- Understands a project's goals and works collaboratively to achieve results
- Monitors industry changes and translates those into actionable recommendations and optimizations
- Understands and can articulate the PMG vision and strategy to clients and colleagues
- Responsible for budget and forecasting for clients’ affiliate programs, including weekly pacing reports
- Responsible for operational success of accounts and ensuring deliverables are met on time and on budget
- Owns all outcomes; effectively prioritizes efforts to focus on key deliveries
- Plan, manage and execute affiliate campaigns, including but not limited to account and campaign setup, strategy development, partnership recruitment and relationship management, organization, and day to day program management
- Audit, review and analyze reports, lead optimization efforts to meet campaign objectives and performance as well as clients’ overall goals for the channel
- Vet and partner with new partnerships in the channel, develop relationships with existing partners and foster strategic relationships with key partners and tools that accelerate growth for clients and PMG in the channel
- Works collaboratively to translate strategic vision into tactical solutions and results
- Consistently looks for ways to improve current processes or introduce new approaches that will contribute to PMG’s success
Skills & Experience:
- 4+ years of direct affiliate management experience
- Experience in managing large scale, complex affiliate campaigns
- Comprehensive knowledge of key affiliate platforms (Impact, Partnerize, Rakuten, CJ, Awin).
- Basic understanding of the acquisition funnel, performance marketing KPIs and profitability levers
- Technical understanding of digital performance marketing products and services (SEO, SEM, Social, Influencer, etc).
- Strong organizational skills and project management abilities
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong client and team leadership qualities
- Exceptional communication skills
- Demonstrated strong performance in prior affiliate roles and excellent project management skills
- Ability to be an advanced technical/discipline leader, and manage client communication
- Must be able to draw critical analysis from data and make specific recommendations
