Brand Partner Specialist – IBM Z Hardware (Fresh Graduate)

IBM Z Hardware / Z Software Brand Technical Specialists are the technical experts and advisors to clients IBM sales teams and/or IBM Business Partners. You understand the client’s business requirements technical requirements and/or competitive landscape. You apply your business insights build and maintain client relationships incorporate hardware software and services into client-valued solutions and ensure client readiness for the implementation of technical solutions.
Your Role and Responsibilities :
The IBM Z Hardware / Z Software Brand Technical Specialist (BTS) provides technical sales support for the IBM Software portfolio on the IBM Z platform / IBM Z platform. They work closely with the IBM Sales Specialists Client Team Sales leaders and Account architects in identifying and progressing sales opportunities from identify and qualify stages to closing the sale by removing all technical inhibitors.
Primary responsibilities include acting as a consultant for our customers and in doing so removing the technical inhibitors to the sale. This is accomplished through the use of whiteboard/chalk talks presentations customized demonstrations proof-of-technology sessions proof-of-concept engagements technical competitive analysis and other technical activity required to help the customer understand how they can be successful using IBM zStack Software solutions.
Your Role and Responsibilities
A ‘Day-in-the Life’ may include but not be limited to:
- Growing skills and knowledge in consultative sales technical solutions and industry applications to apply during client engagements.
- Defining confirming and communicating the differentiated value of IBM’s technology at both the technical and business level.
- Using solution-selling techniques to identify and engage decision makers and influencers qualify business opportunities and respond to clients’ needs to create strategic long-term partnerships.
- Assisting in the sales process prospecting and ensuring delivery against key performance indicators (KPIs) with a strong emphasis on new business sales while expanding existing accounts.
- Collaborating with the broader IBM sales team from Marketing to Sales and technical colleagues to IBM Business Partners to build sales campaigns and incremental pipeline.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Graduate in Computer Science or other IT related program with less than 2 years of full-time working experience.
- Confidence to engage new customers and deliver an elevated experience.
- Motivation to achieve sales business objectives and high client satisfaction.
- Aptitude to utilize selling technologies to network engage clients and identify new business opportunities.
- Embrace curiosity and a growth mindset.
