Your Role and Responsibilities
A Brand Sales Specialist role within IBM Security means providing industry-leading solutions to help our clients face the challenges of advanced threats cloud security data security compliance and privacy identity management and mobile and remote security. It also ensures you’re continuously developing – personally and professionally – to stay at the forefront of industry trends and remain as the trusted advisor our clients’ success depend on.Excellent onboarding and an industry leading learning culture will set you up for positive impact and success whilst ongoing development will advance your career through an upward trajectory.

Part of a team you’ll be surrounded by bright minds and keen co-creators – always willing to help and be helped – as you apply passion to work that will compel our clients to invest in IBM’s products and services.We are looking for new team members to be a catalyst for revenue and cash flow growth for the IBM Security Software portfolio. This includes expanding existing IBM National Market security clients and new account penetration. You’ll work closely with clients business partners and the extended IBM team to develop client relationships understand their needs earn their trust and show them how IBM’s industry leading solutions will solve their problems while delivering value to their business.
You will grow retain and fuel new logo revenue opportunities from opportunity identification to deal progression close and customer consumption.We’re committed to success. In this role your achievements will drive your career team and clients to thrive.
A typical day may involve:
– Client-Value Communication: Managing a dedicated client set to effectively communicate the unique value of IBM’s technology.
– Solution-Selling Expertise: Leveraging solution-selling skills to engage decision makers qualify opportunities and establish lasting partnerships.
– End-to-End Sales Leadership: Overseeing the complete sales process from RFI/RFP responses to meeting KPIs with a focus on acquiring new business and expanding existing accounts.
– Collaborative Sales Ecosystem: Collaborating with the broader IBM sales ecosystem including Marketing Sales technical teams and Business Partners to develop sales campaigns and drive pipeline growth.
*Must be willing to travel to Greater New York City Metro Area*
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Proven track record of success in technology sales with emphasis on new client acquisition.
- Demonstrable application of business and commercial acumen communicated at all levels to show the operational impact and financial value of technological solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills that are equally engaging compelling and influential.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Depth and breadth of knowledge regarding the Security market in order to consult and advise and quickly grow your reputation as your clients’ credible trusted advisor. (Training on IBM’s Security offerings is provided)
