As a Partner Technical Specialist your purpose is to influence your partnersâ technical strategies working to incorporate and embed IBMâs technology portfolio into Partnerâs reference architectures practices and solutions versus competition.

IBM Z Hardware Brand Technical Specialists are the technical experts and advisors to clients IBM sales teams and/or IBM Business Partners. You understand the clientâs business requirements technical requirements and/or competitive landscape. You apply your business insights build and maintain client relationships incorporate hardware software and services into client-valued solutions and ensure client readiness for the implementation of technical solutions.
Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM is looking for a Storage Brand Sales. This role will be responsible for Storage solutions in Taiwan.
The Storage Brand Sales is responsible for developing solutions that address our clientâs business needs and deliver client value technical knowledge with integrated products knowledge is crucial. The Brand Sales will work to create solutions which are tailored to clientâs business needs and integrate the capabilities in a way that is valued by the customer and superior to the competition through technical view point. In this role it is essential to be able to apply industry specific knowledge and experience to bring new business and technology insights to assigned clients selling with technical capability on basic architectural view. Furthermore you will work together with IBM partners and external system integration providers for selling storage solutions by leveraging different approach of competition win back enlarge client spending share or any other innovative ways.
Major Responsibilities:
⢠Sell storage solutions with technical skillset.
⢠Key account / business management
⢠Opportunity Identification
⢠Lead Proof of Concepts demonstrations client workshops and presentations
⢠Quotes / pricing and other proposal development activities
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
To be successful in this role you will need:
- ⢠3 + years of experience as infrastructure sales.
⢠3+ years focus in storage solution related fields.
⢠Experienced sales background solid record of achieving sales targets.
⢠Excellent communication skill in English and Chinese and Client Relationship Skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
⢠Experience in channel development or expand partner ecosystem is preferred.
⢠Experience in key account coverage role is preferred.
⢠Experience to deliver sales pitch to C-level is preferred.
⢠IT technical background is preferred.
