Your Role and Responsibilities
A Sustainability Software (SSW) Sales Specialist role within the IBM FEDERAL Market means you’re providing agencies with solutions and services that drive mission enabling operational excellence. SSW solutions leverage hybrid cloud and AI to deliver enterprise process enablement that are secure reliable scalable and sustainable. You’ll be co-creating with colleagues and clients to deliver the engine that sits at the center of their digital transformation’s success.

As an SSW Brand Sales-Specialist you’ll work closely with clients to develop relationships understand their needs earn their trust and show them how IBM’s industry leading solutions will solve their problems while delivering value to their business.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Client Set Management and Value Articulation : Oversee a dedicated client portfolio and convey the distinctive value of IBM’s technology at both technical and business levels. Portfolio includes:

- Enterprise Asset & Integrated Workplace Management
- Supply Chain Management & B2B Data Exchange
- Engineering Lifecycle Management
- Environmental/Weather/Climate
- Sustainability/Social Governance
- Solution-Selling Expertise in Business Development : Apply solution-selling skills to identify and engage decision makers and influencers assess business opportunities and address clients’ requirements to establish enduring strategic partnerships.
- End-to-End Sales Process Management : Take charge of the complete sales process encompassing RFI/RFP response preparation and ensure the attainment of KPIs with a notable emphasis on new business sales while also extending services to existing accounts.
- Collaboration Across IBM Sales Ecosystem : Collaborate with the broader IBM sales ecosystem from Marketing to Sales and technical colleagues as well as IBM Business Partners to formulate sales campaigns and augment the pipeline.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Proven Track Record of Success in Technology Sales or Deployment : A successful track record in technology sales with a strong emphasis on acquiring new clients.
- Application of Business and Commercial Acumen : Practical application of business and commercial acumen able to communicate it effectively at all levels to showcase the operational impact and financial value of technological solutions.
- Excellent Communication and Presentation : Skills that engage compel and influence effectively.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- In-Depth Knowledge of SSW solutions (direct or with competittor) : A wide range of expertise regarding related SSW business process and value propositions; advanced ability to consult and advise clients and rapidly establish reputation as a credible and trusted advisor for clients (training on IBM’s SSW portfolio offerings will be provided).
