Job Summary:

The Brand Strategist will join a team of dedicated and diverse marketers and strategists who are passionate about creating impactful experiences for our customers and each other. This role will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing insightful and data-backed integrated and brand management strategies that enhance the Georgia Power brand. The Brand Strategist will work closely with internal teams to identify strategic needs and develop brand campaigns with a focus on compelling storytelling. This role will also be responsible for working with external agencies to collaborate on and execute strategies to achieve our goals and KPIs.

The Brand Strategist will have the skillset to share insights, ideas, data, and strategies through exceptional verbal, written, and visual presentation skills. This team member will also handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

This is a hybrid position reporting out of Georgia Power's Atlanta headquarters. Some travel across Georgia is required.

Job Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, or related field
  • 4 years of experience in brand strategy development and/or advertising in a corporate communication or agency environment
  • 4 years of experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns
  • Experience analyzing marketing data analytics
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, listening)
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with agencies and on cross-functional teams
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint and Outlook are required
Principle Job Responsibilities:

In this role, the Brand Strategist will:

  • Provide strategic guidance for brand campaign development, execution, and analytics
  • Oversee all phases of marketing campaigns including research, ideation, design, content development, execution, and ongoing analysis to achieve business and communication objectives
  • Lead marketing plan and strategy for communicating Georgia Power's focus areas across marketing and advertising channels including but not limited to paid media, email, social media, sponsorships, and internal communication
  • Lead strategic conversations that help rethink and reimagine the way we communicate with current and future customers
  • Measure brand impact and present findings, insights and recommendations to various departments and levels of management
  • Develop and manage relationships with agencies and vendors
  • Work collaboratively with team members across the company to ensure campaigns align with brand standards, objectives, and messaging
  • Advise department leaders on advertising and digital marketing trends
  • Proactively partner with media relations to identify impactful media opportunities and garner positive coverage throughout the state
  • Support crisis communication and emergency nuclear communication exercises
  • Work closely with various teams including Internal and Executive Communications, Media Relations, Crisis Communication, Digital Strategy and Brand Creative
