Job Description
Join Archive in our mission to change consumer behavior for the better. If you think humans buy too much stuff and throw too much away, then this problem is for you. We’re starting with fashion and expanding from there.
Archive is the leading technology platform for branded resale. The company works with more than 50 global brands including The North Face, Oscar de la Renta, and New Balance, to develop innovative resale programs that keep products out of landfill.
We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic person, who defines success as seeing our brand partners succeed, to join our exciting and fast growing Brand Success team. You will work cross-functionally across the team at Archive — including Strategy & Operations, Marketing, and the Brand Success team. You will collaborate with brands to make each partner’s resale program feel unique. You are excited to wear many hats and have a problem-solving mentality.
About the Role
Join an exciting and fast growing Brand Success team. In your role you will be responsible for managing a set of brands and serving as a strategic partner — evaluating their needs and recommending improvements to their business.
- Serve as a consultant, advisor, and extension of a brand’s team in helping grow their resale business—proactively evaluating the brand’s performance and recommending opportunities to grow or improve their business.
- Ensure the brand’s experience with Archive is positive — structuring communications and touch points with them and bringing in key members of the Archive team to meet with the brand as needed.
- Maintain relationships with a large variety of brands — with cadenced communication and serving as the “brand marketing” touchpoint to keep Archive and resale top of mind with our partners.
- Location: Greater New York Area
About You
- You are a strategic problem solver who enjoys learning about new businesses and models quickly, building relationships and trust with clients, educating on insights relevant to growth, and balancing short and long term goals.
- You thrive on cross-functional project management and happy to support the greater brand success team on tasks to support the growth of our brand partners resale programs.
- You are detail oriented and have a sharp eye for spotting even the tiniest of errors and comfortable addressing solutions effectively with the team.
- You are able to relate to the needs of a wide range of individuals and building consensus among them.
- You love the retail industry and are up to date with current events in the space.
- You are passionate about helping brands story tell and activate their resale programs with their audience.
- You are excited about joining a small, early-stage team and are willing to wear many hats and work creatively to improve brands’ business and experience with us.
- You are energized by creating new approaches and ways to solve common requests or issues from our brand partners, creating our processes while we build them.
- You are mission-driven and love the fact that the better we do as a company, the less waste we’ll see in the world.
Skills / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. business administration, marketing, retail management, communications, liberal arts, computer science, etc)
- 1-3 years of work experience, ideally within consulting, e-commerce, marketing, or other strategic role. You are familiar with how retailers operate and have either consulted for retailers or have a retail (apparel, accessories, other consumer goods) background
- Strong problem solving skills - You are always ready to roll up your sleeves and troubleshoot to resolve issues, escalating complex problems to our expert teams when needed
- Strong organizational and time management skills - you can manage a breadth of brands with accuracy of tasks
- Proactive in seeking out opportunities across brand matrix and finding ways to support to the Brand Success team
