Brand Technical Specialist – IBM Z Software (Fresh Graduate)

IBM Z Software Brand Technical Specialists are the technical experts and advisors to clients IBM sales teams and/or IBM Business Partners. You understand the clientβs business requirements technical requirements and/or competitive landscape. You apply your business insights build and maintain client relationships incorporate hardware software and services into client-valued solutions and ensure client readiness for the implementation of technical solutions.
Your Role and Responsibilities :
The IBM Z Software Brand Technical Specialist (BTS) provides technical sales support for the IBM Software portfolio on the IBM Z platform. They work closely with the IBM Sales Specialists Client Team Sales leaders and Account architects in identifying and progressing sales opportunities from identify and qualify stages to closing the sale by removing all technical inhibitors.
Primary responsibilities include acting as a consultant for our customers and in doing so removing the technical inhibitors to the sale. This is accomplished through the use of whiteboard/chalk talks presentations customized demonstrations proof-of-technology sessions proof-of-concept engagements technical competitive analysis and other technical activity required to help the customer understand how they can be successful using IBM zStack Software solutions.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Use technical/business acumen to understand the clientβs business requirements technical requirements and competitive landscape.
- Work with the extended technical team and sales teams to deliver effective Demonstrations Proof of Concept (POC) Proof of Technology (POT) events supporting the IBM Software portfolio on the IBM zStack.
- Collaborate within the IBM Worldwide/Geography/Market teams IBM and Business Partner teams to define design and detail the aspects of proposed solutions.
- Actively engage with clients to develop trust and credibility by building confidence throughout the sales process supporting technical escalations delivering educational capability updates and solving business problems to create an exceptional customer experience.
- Work with IBM Business partners to supplement their existing skills provide skills transfer to partners and market technical specialists and provide direction in engaging with IBM resources.
This position supports clients across Hong Kong.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Graduate in Computer Science or other IT related program with less than 2 years of full-time working experience.
- Confidence to engage new customers and deliver an elevated experience.
- Motivation to achieve sales business objectives and high client satisfaction.
- Aptitude to utilize selling technologies to network engage clients and identify new business opportunities.
- Embrace curiosity and a growth mindset.
