This individual will drive new sales growth, penetration, and retention strategies in our key retail partners. With growth of 30% - 50% every year since our inception in 2012, we are on a mission to accomplish what many will say is impossible…4X+ revenue growth within 5 years and $1B+ valuation. This individual will be responsible for proactively leading branded sales growth in their sales territory and finding new business opportunities through direct sales and through leveraging our retail distribution partners. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fully engage with assigned account geography to drive penetration strategies focused on total territory growth.
  • Curate, sell and execute marketing, trade programs and trade calendar programming to best maximize branded growth within top prospect and established opportunities in territory.
  • Lead and facilitate the strategic selling framework for existing and new customer development focused on assessing the needs of customer along with determining pricing strategies and product assortment.
  • Continuously evaluate customer needs, the market, competitor products and build and cultivate productive long-lasting relationships.
  • Generate and submit sales reporting, forecasts, and lead opportunities to senior sales and marketing leadership through both the branded CRM tool and through traditional reporting methods.
  • Grow territory through substantial customer development, community engagement and industry trade shows in market. Local and national travel required to support customer needs and other business/territory requirements.
  • Build and maintain excellent internal relationships with account servicing functions and leadership.
  • Prepare and deliver account reviews and sales presentations to existing accounts and prospects as part of the joint business planning process.
  • Exceed internal KPIs and objectives to maximize earnings and support profitable growth of branded portfolio of products

SUCCESS FACTOR SNAPSHOT:

  • First 30 days – Immerse yourself in the organization; become intimate with key leadership, peers, clients, suppliers, processes, products, financials, KPI’s, sales tools, ERP…and CARNIVORE CULTURE.
  • In 60 days – Use your experience and analytical skills to research assigned account portfolio to determine overall account development needs and cultivate building of key strategies for top targets
  • In 90 days - Share your written Sales Strategic Growth & Execution Plan with Director, Field Sales and Vice President, Sales through development of key metrics, dashboards (CRM) and KPIs to support our growth agenda.
  • In 120 Days – Complete Dogs Naturally training and development program to best prepare for selling in the nutrition based pet segment
  • First 6 months – Develop key prospect pipeline and have established plan to close-win customers through new product sales within assigned territory
  • Year 1 – Fully establish distribution and placement execution of key assortment of CMC products in Top 100 assigned accounts
  • Year 1 – Alignment and execution of retail trade programs in Top 100 assigned accounts

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited university or equivalent experience thereof.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • You have 5+ years of direct sales experience and understand the dedication needed to support established and new market accounts.
  • You have a proven track record of customer negotiation, planning and consultative selling to meet growth expectations of our branded portfolio.
  • Works autonomously, thus a history of great decision making, analytical capability, self-starting and relationship building skills required.
  • Must have advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft and Gsuite applications.
  • Experience with Salesforce or another database highly preferred
  • Valid driver license required. Passport required if working in international markets.

  • Competitive base salary and added commissions payable based on increased revenue, profitability and other KPIs as determined by sales leadership
