Bridge Engineer-in-Training
Job Description
We are currently searching for a Bridge Engineer-in-Training to join our Bridge Management Group in our Edmonton office.
You will become an integral part of the Bridge Management Group and will be supporting inspection and bridge asset management projects and standard/major bridge and culvert projects for a variety of public and private sector clients including St. Albert, Parks Canada, and many other jurisdictions across the province. Our group is a vibrant, growing team with a passion for supporting the communities in which we live and work with technical expertise and a collaborative design philosophy. You will work with the team to grow the practice area, collaborate with clients, plan and carry out inspection/maintenance programs, and manage projects within the defined budget and quality requirements. There will be opportunities to develop your technical skills and undertake structural engineering design.

Job Requirements:
What you will bring:
- Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution. Post-graduate degree in structural engineering is an asset.
- Registered, or eligible for registration as an Engineer-In-Training with APEGA.
- 1-2 years of experience in the consulting industry.
- Strong commitment to self-development and continuous learning
- Experience in construction supervision, experience with bridges is an asset.
- Experience in structural inspections of existing structures is an asset.
- Knowledge of construction methods.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Committed team player and the ability to work independently.
- Valid Driver’s License.
