 About Role

This role will be based in any of our home base offices, San Francisco, New York City, or Denver, Colorado, or remote. This individual will support and grow our mission to create a world where work empowers a better life and to build inclusive workplaces with responsible financial benefits for employees.

As a core member of the Broker Operations Group Advocate team, you will help scale this new product experience at Gusto. You will be responsible for working with customers and their brokers to set up their health benefits in Gusto while providing a delightful experience. You’ll put their minds at ease by guiding them through a complex process, providing timely information, and keeping all the moving parts running smoothly.   

What it is like to Work with Gusto

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • You’ll work daily in Salesforce, internal applications and Google Sheets.
  • Oversee the entire benefits onboarding process from start to finish, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely onboarding of benefits
  • Guide customers and their brokers through implementation of their benefits packages in Gusto
  • Work through queues of requests in Salesforce and other technology platforms
  • Provide expertise in healthcare and benefits enrollment via written and verbal communication with Gusto Customers
  • Manage customer onboarding processes using tools like Salesforce and other technology platforms
  • Help scale our growing benefits administration operations and improve our processes - find pain points and seek better ways for us to tackle our work
  • Collaborate with team members on special projects to increase efficiency
  • If asked, hold onboarding calls within 1-2 weeks from warm handoff
  • Troubleshoot and move blocked groups forward
  • Ensure all quality control steps are accurately followed in a timely manner

Here’s what we're looking for:

  • 2-4 years of client-facing experience - bonus points for exposure to healthcare, payroll, or a start-up environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Flexibility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Skilled in problem solving, dealing with ambiguity, and cross-team communication
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working collaboratively and autonomously - excited about striving toward team and individual metrics
  • Ability to work throughout seasonal peak

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $22.60 USD-24 USD Hourly in Denver & most remote locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
