What we’re looking for

Cross River’s Compliance team makes sure that our business is always consistent with current regulations, and as a Financial Crimes Compliance Analyst, you will be responsible for alert adjudication, investigation, and reporting processes (“AIR”). The AIR team is responsible for rule and scenario-based transaction monitoring, manual monitoring, OFAC/PEP reviews, investigations and escalations, and SAR filings on behalf of CR.

This position will be primarily responsible for  OFAC and PEP alert reviews.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Financial Crimes Compliance Analyst:

• Assists in administering the Bank’s BSA/AML systems, including sanctions screening systems
• Reviews customer and transaction potential matches to the OFAC or PEP list identified by automated systems and disposition appropriately and timely, including escalating any potential true matches and thoroughly documenting each review according to policy and procedures.
• Responsible for the timely review of escalated items received from various internal sources
• Assist with FinCEN 314(a) processes and inquiries; including submission of responses to FinCEN
• Maintain sanctions screening subject matter expertise and provide advice and guidance to management, internal departments and partners on escalations, regulatory changes or industry guidance and best-practices
• Communicate with internal departments and external partners to resolve OFAC related issues/problems
• Identify and recommend process improvements as well as escalate issues/concerns to management

Qualifications:

At least 3 years of SAR Writing experience at a financial institution.
Expertise in AML and sanctions regulations, risks, and typologies.
Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills.

Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines

Strong organizational and record keeping skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with the business and other key stakeholders.
Experience with OFAC filtering vendors and platforms .

Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00
