Who You'll Work With:

The Business Systems Operations group provides support to all departments within the ABIS US Retail organization as it relates to the DST TA2000 application. The services provided by the department assist the operational areas in their processing and reporting needs on a periodic or ad hoc basis. The members of the BSO team provide a variety of services including, but not limited to, new fund administration, mergers, conversions, annual fid fee runs, annual purge runs, 12B1 quarterly runs, ABIS nightly fund pricing, dividend runs, TA2000 enhancements/ implementations, workflow design and enhancements, project management, main frame job submission, account statistical list/ reports, and user security for the SS&C suite of products.

We are seeking a San Antonio Texas-based Analyst to join our Business Systems Operations Group

What You'll Do:

The Business Systems Operations Analysts are responsible for providing system administration, reporting, system research, and system enhancement support. They aid AllianceBernstein Investor Services (ABIS) operational personnel by coordinating system enhancement projects and resolving system related record-keeping issues. They ensure that problem items are resolved in a manner both timely and compliant with departmental standards and industry regulations. They also serve as a liaison between ABIS and SS&C, our vendor for the external mutual fund record-keeping system.

Describe the applications and business or enterprise functions the role supports:

  • Recordkeeping system maintenance
  • Recordkeeping system enhancements research and implementation
  • Recordkeeping fund and ID administration
  • Recordkeeping administration of 12b-1 fees
  • Data mining using software for reporting purposes
  • Product support for shareowner and broker dealer self-servicing
  • Research issues utilizing a documentation repository for the recordkeeping system
  • Microsoft Office Suite of tools
  • Adobe Acrobat - PDF tool
  • SS&C Suite of tools

The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee the review, research, and management of system enhancements in collaboration with the system owners.

• Administer operational changes such as fund launches, fund name changes, fund mergers, and fund liquidations.

• Act as a system administrator for ABIS applications, ensuring the accurate creation of user IDs for system access.

• Maintain, implement, and improve the SS&C Suite of Tools as part of system administration duties.

• Design and implement new process workflows.

• Coordinate with the department to schedule reports (daily, monthly, quarterly, annual) and verify their accuracy.

• Respond to requests from internal associates for additional reports, ensuring they meet the required specifications.

  • Document systems and processes to improve team efficiency.

• Collaborate with internal development teams to create, test, and implement system enhancements.

• Validate new systems, software, and processes through rigorous testing, ensuring they meet operational requirements and standards.

Individuals will develop and maintain strong relationships with internal departments, including Operations, Marketing, Legal, and other external partners, aligning the development and implementation of strategies, plans, and system models and keeping clients informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle. They will have the opportunity to learn the core system files and how they interact both for the mainframe and in support of the peripheral recordkeeping system products ABIS utilizes; this enables the individual to be an asset within any group within the transfer agency.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent hours) in a business related or information technology discipline and/or work related experience in an equivalent position.
