RER Solutions, Inc. is accepting resumes for a Budget Analyst to join our superior workforce. The Budget Analyst will provide onsite and remote federal program leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide financial and business operations support to improve operational processes within the Office of Budget and Financial Management (OBFM).
• Analyze financial management processes, agency business operations, and programmatic issues and provide advice and recommendations to the Government.
• Provide a broad range of financial, program, and administrative support to OBFM by performing various tasks to facilitate financial management functions.
• Assist with monitoring the agency's programs and budget execution support and guidance activities throughout the fiscal year.
• Review business processes, identify opportunities, and present recommendations for process improvement or reengineering.
• Support the agency's budget processes to track budget execution to ensure the divisions and offices do not exceed their budgets.
• Assist with creating and distributing financial reporting.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of the Centrally Billed Account (CBA) and coordinate responses to the government travel contractor on CBA use.
• Ensure the accounting system accurately presents financial records of commitments and obligations.
• Evaluate and analyze data extracts.
• Perform funds management tracking and financial reconciliations and present financial summaries of findings.
• Perform payroll reconciliations.
• Provide accurate compensation and benefit forecasts monthly.
• Review and update the annual budget formulation guidance.
• Review the accuracy of office budget requests compared to the current year's budget execution.
• Create essential, non-technical documents using appropriate word processing software.
• Edit, proofread, correct format, grammar, and spelling errors.
• Assist with all facets of the Government travel program.
• Assist in composing, maintaining, and clarifying the travel policies and procedures of the agency.
• As required, assist and provide supplemental training to staff, travelers, and approvers on using the e-travel system.
• Assist OBFM staff in arranging appointments, conferences, and meetings with internal FHFA employees and private sector members.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Able to obtain the required client issued Public Trust
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience
• Experience supporting senior-level government officials
• Experience working in federal budgeting
• Comfortable working across multiple workstreams
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and an understanding of fundamental business writing
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree

CERTIFICATION: Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) is a plus
