Building Maintenance Technician

Job objective: This is an exciting role in a growing company. The ideal candidate for the position is someone who has experience managing building assets, completing repairs on HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems, performing preventative maintenance on building systems, and troubleshooting customer requests. In this role, you will work closely with a talented facilities and manufacturing team to ensure buildings support Epirus products and people.  

Duties

• Coordinating with external partners after visually and aurally evaluating small construction projects
• 1st level assessment of building assets and needs across the facility including but not limited to manufacturing, Fire Life Safety, and lab environments
• Maintenance on plumbing and troubleshooting water systems
• Assist office administrators with facilities soft and hard services
• Patch and paint interior walls
• Visual troubleshooting of electrical panels including flipping breakers and working knowledge of electrical wiring and plumbing and mechanical work
• Awareness of PM programs for HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, electrical plans. Regularly scheduled checks, weekly inspection checkpoints and analysis to source out work for vendors
• Assembling and maintaining desks, workstations, office, and manufacturing equipment
• Working knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and CMMS to manage work orders, track progress, meet SLA (Service Level Agreements), and follow up with clients
• Proactive thinking for facilities services including but not limited to preventative maintenance plans, EHS support, FLS systems, HVAC systems, some manufacturing secondary support, and vendor relationships for small building maintenance projects

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years facilities and maintenance experience in warehouse, industrial, commercial offices and buildings
• 5+ years experience with CMMS to track work order progress
• Working knowledge of electrical and HVAC systems including RTUs and DX units
• Asset inventory and PM of manufacturing sites
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with clients, customers, and internal employees and departments

Desired Qualification

• Scissor Lift Certification preferred
• Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization
• Organized; comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
