We're looking for a sharp, action-oriented Business Affairs Contract Associate to join Team Snapchat and hit the ground running! You will be hands-on in vendor management operations across the Marketing team. You'll combine your strong creative production contract acumen, creativity, and developed understanding of Snapchat to contribute to a growing Business Affairs team. To be a good fit, you'll have expertise in, and passion for: Commercial contract negotiations (including but not limited to PSAs/MSAs/SOWS), data protection agreements along with an understanding of data and privacy regulation and compliance matters. You'll have fluency working with advertising agencies, media companies, publishers, and production companies with a solid understanding of a range of content execution strategies. You are operationally minded and ready to roll up your sleeves to help build our scaling Business Affairs infrastructure and support capabilities.
What you'll do:
  • Drafting, evaluating, negotiating, and executing Master Services Agreements, Amendments, Statements of Work and other commercial agreements between Snap and marketing/creative agencies, vendors and other partners with the ability to capture legal and business concepts in a clear, concise and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Create a safe regulatory environment by ensuring our contracts and vendors we work with follow our data and privacy policies. Support Marketers on legal reviews for data processing, security questionnaires and other legal matters arising from a contract request.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Marketers by serving as a single point of contact for contractual matters.
  • Work with Procurement and Finance to ensure compliance with Snap vendor policies.
  • Partner closely with Business Affairs Lead to ensure all commercial contract needs and expectations are met.
  • Partner with LegalOps for continued optimizations to contract tooling workflows.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Drive efforts to improve and scale our contracting process within Marketing.
  • Support day-to-day project ad hoc requests (music licensings, influencer agreement structure, etc)
  • Handle matters autonomously with limited guidance while exercising keen judgment on when to escalate issues to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Manage and meet internal SLAs and help juggle priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Co-manage with Business Affairs Manager weekly office hours serving different customers.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 5 years legal, procurement, sourcing, and/or business affairs.
  • Strong understanding of legal concepts as related to contract negotiations for marketing.
  • Understanding and experience with Data and Privacy regulations and compliance management (CCPA, EMEA/GDPR etc).
  • Proven track record of risk mitigation via contract negotiations.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent relationship management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with suppliers, and internal business teams.
  • Good understanding of accounting/finance practices.
  • Experience working with marketing teams partnering to ensure regulation and process requirements are implemented.
  • Proven ability to drive positive change and build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience with social networking, platform integrations, publishing platforms, broadcast & new media.
  • Understanding of all Union requirements, agreements, and negotiations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once.

Compensation:
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
  • Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) : The base salary range for this position is $110,000 - 160,000 annually
  • Zone B : The base salary range for this position is $105,000 - 152,000 annually
  • Zone C : The base salary range for this position is $94,000 - 136,000 annually

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs
