Business Affairs Manager

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

Reporting into the Senior Business Affairs Manager, the Business Affairs Manager is a proactive, organized problem-solver who understands the big picture of a project and how best to address its demands to complete it, including finding ways to meet timing and project needs efficiently and collaboratively to ensure flawless execution of brand ideas and creative digital and social concepts.

This role must be familiar with business affairs matters as they relate to social media platforms as well as other media formats (digital, broadcast, out-of-home, etc.)

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Lead daily projects
• Partner with all integrated working project groups to ensure Business Affairs guidance is factored into every aspect of creativity & production
• Manage legal communication + apply a creative filter
• Ensure applicable union, network and regulatory compliances such as FTC for influencers and sponsored social postings
• Manage third party negotiation and licensing
• Keeps abreast of current trends, talent contracts rules and regulations, waivers and developments to apply as needed to production issues
• Collaborate with agency producers on production jobs with estimates, purchase orders, insurance, talent payments, etc.
• Work with third party entities to secure consent and clear rights when referencing their assets (names, images, props, contents, etc.) based on contractual agreements
• Draft and negotiate contracts, including license agreements
• Facilitate and manage internal communication between the teams (Business Affairs, Talent Payment Managers, Producers, Account Teams, etc.)

Requirements for this position include:

• College degree
• 4–5+ years work experience required ideally with experience in business affairs, advertising, marketing, production or legal
• Proven leader with the ability to multi-task within a fast-spaced creative environment, working on several projects at once with multiple stakeholders
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to connect and motivate team
• Detail-oriented and organized team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
