Business Analysis Advisor - Work from home
Job Description
Leads mid-sized quality and analytical processes and projects or components of a larger project in a matrix environment involved in the evaluation of requirements and/or the development of new procedures/ processes/or policy solutions to address highly complex Provider data issues.
Compiles and analyzes results for identification of improvement opportunities. Provides actionable information and recommendations to the team through various analytic techniques on issues related to business people, processes and technology.
Leads work on complex analytical processes utilizing judgment, fact, and discretion within a large business organization or across functional areas.
Actions have significant impact on key department objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Execute management strategies for Operational Performance & Analyzed Solutions project portfolio, identifying areas of improvement, gathering data, conducting analysis and recommending controls or other actions to ensure accuracy of Provider data for consuming use.
- Managing multiple complex, time sensitive projects designed to deliver targeted outcomes:
- Can organize departmental efforts to identify, prioritize and assess the impacts of business process problems and consumption defects
- Can lead efforts to develop data collection plans and data acquisition
- Can train junior members in team in performing analysis activities to deliver to defined objectives
- Conduct analysis and evaluation of business process and technology through the use of rigorous methods to identify causes of variation, improvement opportunities and solutions considering both upstream inputs into business process and downstream consumers of data
- Identify opportunities for improvements based on fact based analysis
- Can summarize results of analysis and effectively communicate to the team recommendations for actions to resolve business issues
- Network Operations
- Utilize Network Operations process maps to map data flow through business processes
- Gather and define baseline business metrics primarily to illustrate impact of business outputs to customers
- Utilize trending analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency in business processes
- Working in close partnership with business partners is a highly matrix environment
- Utilize information garnered from analysis to partner with Process Owners and Quality Oversight to identify gaps in business processes.
- Can effectively communicate the results of analysis
- Translate business needs into practical applications and solutions
- Translate business/data rules into existing analytical programs for continuous improvement; develop, test implement programs where one does not exist.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher strongly preferred or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of equivalent experience in related health care analytics
Strong developer skills in SAS EG or other programming languages (Java, Python, VBA, etc.) required.
Strong developer skills in MS SQL (including writing stored procedures and views) and SSIS required.
Experience in reporting tools such as Tableau, Business Objects or COGNOS required
Strong relational SQL skill and data warehousing concepts highly preferred
Strong experience with Hadoop, Oracle, Teradata etc. highly preferred
Comfortable using tools such as Toad, HUE, SQL Management Studio etc.
Strong MS Office Suite, including Excel, Access and Visio required
Leadership competencies with the ability to collaborate with others and establish working relationships, communicate effectively across the organization and at different levels, think and act strategically and influence key leader
Strong communication skills - oral, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within diverse groups
Deep healthcare data statistical analysis experience and demonstrated understanding of health care and delivery systems processes
Ability to take highly complex data relationships and translate to useful action
Ability to solution for the desired outcome
Ability to successfully navigate and contribute in a highly matrix environment
Ability to train and mentor junior team members
This role is WAH/Flex, which allows most work to be performed at home. WAH/Flex employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if they choose to come onsite or if required to periodically come on site.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $83,200 - $138,600, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
