Tech@Lilly LRL (Global Patient Safety) team helps speed innovation to patients by ensuring drug safety that ultimately enables the right treatment to the right patient at the right time. This role will serve as the primary point of contact to business and improve critical patient safety applications. As a “Business Analyst”  at Eli Lilly and Company, you will be instrumental in optimizing business processes, enhancing customer experiences, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse data, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Collaboration & Requirements Gathering:

  • Be a primary liaison between the cross-functional teams and all the stakeholders. The person in this role has to make sure the information flow is quick and clear so that there is no misinterpretation. Communicates with all stakeholders and comes up with right KPIs for the project success. Drives ROI and Values.
  • Being responsible for maximizing the value of the product and the work of the Development Team. Take inputs from all the stakeholders, funnel through to guide in the creation and prioritization of the Product Backlog. Providing clear understanding of what those items mean (in both function and value) aids in maximizing the efforts of the Development Team.

Agile Adoption & Execution

  • Maintaining the team backlog with SM & PO – With input from Architect/Engineering Team and other stakeholders, with primary responsibility for building, editing, and maintaining the team backlog. Consisting mostly of user stories, it also includes defects and enablers. Backlog items are prioritized based on user value, time, and other team dependencies
  • Reviews and reprioritizes the backlog as part of the preparation work for Sprint Planning, including coordination of dependencies with other POs. Communicates story detail and priorities and ensures the team aligns and agrees on a final iteration plan.
  • Apply Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) –  collaborate with the Business and the Team, to detail stories with acceptance criteria and examples in the form of acceptance tests.
  • Accepting stories – The PO works with the team to agree on accepted story completion. This includes validating that the story meets acceptance criteria, that it has the appropriate, persistent acceptance tests, and that it otherwise complies with its Definition of Done (DoD).
  • Participate in team demo and retrospective –collaborate with their team and any other stakeholders in the team demo. They also participate in the retrospective, where the teams gather to improve their processes.

Change Management: Facilitate change management processes by providing training, support, and documentation to ensure smooth transition and adoption of new solutions.

Compliance & Reporting: Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement compliant solutions that meet organizational needs while adhering to regulatory standards. Develop and maintain reports to track key performance indicators and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions, recommending continuous improvements

Minimum Requirements:

Technical Areas: Requirements Gathering, Requirements Analysis, Prioritizing Strategy, Product Management, JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, Power apps, Power BI, awareness of Cloud concepts.

Domain: Pharma background - Possessing general awareness and knowledge of regulatory, legal, or quality requirements (e.g., privacy regulations) impacting the business, and ensuring solution requirements include appropriate key points.

  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles. Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Creative thinker with a vision and Attention to details. Proven track record of delivering data driven solutions with a customer-first mindset
  • Established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of pharmacovigilance practices and regulatory requirements is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with case management and signal detection tools.
  • Familiarity with process automation, data analysis techniques, and cloud technologies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Certifications: Any of the Certifications like - Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner will be good along with exposure on Business Analysis, PMI-ACP, CSM, ITIL, etc.
