The Business Analyst will be responsible for working closely with our customer and the 5G team to detail and convert our customer's business requirements into system requirements for the development team. Business Analyst will fully populate and validate requirements document and associated traceability matrix. Additionally, an engineering design of a 5G Network in the designated proof of concept locations connected to a cloud host that provides Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) to the ship maintenance edge. This effort also includes component, device/appliance, and software selection and supply chain analysis associated with each required item to build the architecture.

Position Requirements

• Excellent written and communication skills
• Experience identifying, writing, and managing requirements
• Experience with eliciting requirements using interviews, data analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and workflow analysis
• Experience with taking high-level business and functional requirements and breaking them down to detailed technical requirements and visual models
• Ability to translate requirements into a traceable system design
• Ability to develop test cases with traceability to design and requirements

Position Responsibilities

• Gather and document customer requirements
• Documenting customer business functions and develop use cases:
  • Best practice recognition and implementation or improvement
  • Hierarchical and lateral communication schemes
  • Recognition and adaptation of promising methodologies suited to ship maintenance performance tracking and reporting in addition to the recognition and adaptation of technologies promising to support an array of business process efficiencies.
  • Produce flow diagrams to help with solution architecture
• Manage and track requirements and project artifacts in requirements management tool
• Facilitate group requirements review sessions
• Formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research combined with an advanced understanding of business systems and industry requirements

Other skills preferred

• US Citizenship required and active Secret clearance
• Bachelors degree with concentration in management or technical fields
• 5+ years of experience working with technical teams that practice modern engineering methods
• Experience with workflow design tools such as Visio
• Microsoft office tools - Word, Excel, Powerpoint
• Knowledge of technical writing tools
• Knowledge of federal government contracting
