Verifone is providing acquiring services to its merchants in multiple markets, including but not limited to Germany, Finland, Denmark, and Norway. We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our EMEA Merchant Acquiring Business Intelligence Team. The ideal candidate will be analyzing data related to our merchant acquiring business, produced by internal and external sources to provide insights to decision makers.

What's exciting about the role

You will identify and interpret trends and patterns in data sets not only to determine areas of improvement but also to create forecasts, recommendations and tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.  

You will create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements and conduct economic research and studies in various areas of the organization. 

You will consult with other staff and teams to solve business problems and directly create data sets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools utilizing SQL and database queries. 

Verifone operate a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze business requirements to design and implement data solutions.
• Work with SQL, Power BI developers to create required reports.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
• Perform profitability analysis on merchant, segment, market levels.
• Build pricing models.
• Conduct data profiling and data quality assessments to ensure accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to create ad-hoc reports and analyses as needed.
• Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI and SQL-related issues.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in data analytics.

Skills and Experience we desire

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or Financial Analyst role.
• General business knowledge on dynamics of merchant acquiring.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, and MS Office Suit.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
