Role Overview:

The chosen candidate will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and improve/maintain data quality best practices throughout the data pipeline, including using Alteryx to appropriately connect multiple data sources, automate the workflow, and load into a localized data warehouse which is used as the basis for systemic and ad-hoc Power BI dashboard development. This role will also aid in developing and mentoring team members in utilizing sound data practices and fundamentals to continue the growth of IQVIA CTP data literacy.

Clinical Trial Payments Overview

IQVIA Technologies' Clinical Trial Payments is a tech-enabled service offering that takes away the burden of making payments to clinical sites around the world. By relieving clinicians of some administrative burdens, Clinical Trial Payments allows HCPs to focus more on their work in clinical research and healthcare, creating a better patient experience. This is done by applying our skilled financial and technology integration teams, best practices, and global reach to solve a persistent industry problem that software alone cannot handle.

Essential Functions

• Analyze internal/external customer needs to document and translate requirements into functional, interactive systemic and ad-hoc dashboards utilizing Power BI
• Create Alteryx workflows to automate the transformation of data from multiple sources and load data into a centralized location
• Review and troubleshoot SQL data query discrepancies as needed to ensure data quality, logging any errors with data engineering/architecture team
• Partner with various technical teams to develop, support, and enhance data management maturity model
• Explore software/utilize additional technologies (Python, SQL, etc.) to drive further efficiencies in data pipeline
• Strive for improved data governance practices throughout the data pipeline to ensure proper distribution of data, version control, and appropriately release incremental updates/upgrades
• Document Standard Operation Procedures and provide training as needed to improve IQVIA CTP data literacy
• Consider most business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment to drive value for the company
• Collaborate with project manager(s) to project schedules/timelines, track assignments and balance workload appropriately

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM-related field plus 3+ years' experience with sound data science/analyst fundamentals/practices
• 3+ years Power BI and DAX analysis experience to build functional dashboards to drive analyst insights
• 1+ years Alteryx experience developing workflows
• Familiarity with SQL queries, experience writing SQL queries is a plus
• Knowledge of IQVIA data and current systems is a plus but not required
• Previous experience utilizing the following technology/methodology is a plus but not required:
  • Smartsheet, PyCharm, Git/GitHub, MS SQL Server Management, Snowflake
