The Opportunity:
We're a data, research, technology, and investment company seeking a Business Analyst with a background in financial services to work in the Content and Website Squad which supports our investments research and content offerings for the Australian retail-investor audience.
We think having a client focus, financial services industry knowledge, creativity and initiative are essential in this role as you will manage Morningstar product and integration projects across a wide range of Morningstar capabilities, including but not limited to Data, Research and Digital Solutions.
You will support the product owner of squad on multiple projects and initiatives working closely with them to define and document requirements. You will also play a role in ensuring excellent collaboration between stakeholders including product managers, data, technology, marketing, and other client/third party stakeholders to deliver technology and business solutions.
This role is based in our Mumbai office working alongside the Engineers and QA members who work on this squad. The role will report locally into India with a functional reporting line into our Australia delivery team.
What you'll do:
- Work close with product owner and stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate, and validate requirements for initiatives - this could span business operations, databases, internal systems or products.
- Look to provide local project coordination and local product drive for the squad.
- Manage requirements including stakeholder requirements, product backlogs, EPICs, and user stories through the development life cycle (agile and waterfall) to meet business needs.
- Develop strong working relationships with business and technology stakeholders, both in India, Australia and with global stakeholders when required.
- Partner with Product managers, project managers, program managers and development team to ensure the requirements are met.
- Demonstrate project, product, business requirements with key stakeholders.
- Support testing, training and implementation activities to ensure successfully delivery of the overall business and technology solutions.
Qualifications & experience required:
- High level of attention to detail together with good analytical skills and a response nature.
- Tertiary qualification in business, finance or technology
- Knowledge in both Agile and waterfall methodologies
- Good written and presentation skills.
- Product knowledge in Morningstar Australia software products including Investor AU, Morningstar.com.au, AdviserLogic (AU) or Adviser Research Center (AU) would be beneficial.
- Previous experience in project management or business analysis role is preferred.

Other things that would be useful to have, but not necessary:
- Experience using JIRA, Confluence, Asana or other project management software
- Business analysis or project management qualification
- Financial services software experience
