Business Analyst
Job Description
Position Summary
The Business Analyst works with internal stakeholders to analyze and document clinical business processes in the Centria Autism business line and develop technical specifications for IT applications supporting those processes. This role is instrumental in driving specific CareConnect (Centria’s enterprise application) feature functionality execution from product definition and planning through production, release, and end-of-life. The Business Analyst will also have responsibility in testing the application prior to implementation.
Success Measures
Success measures include adherence to Centria policies and meeting or exceeding personal qualitative and quantitative key performance indicator (KPI) metrics.
Duties and Responsibilities

Product Enhancement Coordination
- Gather and document customer requirements specific to EHR, EMR, and enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop user stories, business requirements, and acceptance criteria while evaluating their potential and practicality by analyzing end-user needs.
- Conduct meetings with Subject Matter Experts (SME) on CareConnect web application enhancement needs.
- Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize the product backlog during planning meetings.
- Work with the development team to clarify requirements and balance the business needs with technical requirements.
- Coordinate with other team members including other business analysts, QA analysts, and PMs.
- Develop prototypes to validate requirements.
- Provide analysis and acceptance criteria for requirements.
Testing, Release Management, Incident Investigation
- Perform Quality Assurance testing to ensure software meets requirements.
- Participate in system implementation, including UAT and pilot activities.
- Take the lead on issue resolution for functionality in operation.

Education
Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science, Business preferred; or equivalent experience in Home Health / Healthcare Industry or Application Software-related business analyst)
Work Experience
- 7-8 years of experience, preferably in healthcare industry
- 3 years EHR software development environment preferred
- 2-4 years value stream mapping and process design experience
- Experience working in an agile/scrum-based delivery environment is considered a plus
Equipment and Technology Requirements
- Proficiency in computer skills
- Proficiency using laptop/desktop PC
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in G Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Google Meet)
- Experience in JIRA or other software development applications preferred

- Adept at understanding customer needs and analyzing those needs across customer base to identify the best solution.
- Demonstrable analytic reasoning and problem-solving capability.
- Demonstrable strong work ethic with attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
- Knowledge of and experience with Jira Software and/or SQL.
Interpersonal Demands
- Frequent interaction with supervisor, senior leaders, and other teams
- Frequent interaction with key internal and external stakeholders
Working Hours
Centria's office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM.
Additional time may be required to complete the above work or meet company objectives.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, physical requirements such as bending, reaching and lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required. This role will require sitting a majority of the day as well as walking as standing when needed. This role will require close visual activity on multiple computer screens or monitors and the ability to analyze data and figures on a screen.
