Brown Brothers Harriman is seeking a Solutions Analyst to join its Business Intelligence and Enterprise Reporting Systems organization.
Position Summary:
BBH is looking for highly motivated individual to join Business Intelligence and Enterprise Reporting Systems organization, as a Solutions Analyst, focusing on solving data and reporting problems. You will function as liaison between the technical and business user groups. You will interpret what the users need and translate those requirements into detailed specifications; take part in solution design, development, testing and production deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform design analysis, research, and write/review technical specification documentation including data modelling, data flow diagramming, screen design, and workflow analysis
- Initiate and facilitate all communication between business users and technical teams
- Apply subject matter expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) tools to provide optimal reporting solutions to meet the growing needs of our business partners
- Support the development, testing, and implementation of data warehousing, reporting, and analytics solutions that deliver information efficiently
- Work with project managers, solutions architects, developers, testers, and other specialists across multiple teams and locations to ensure projects success
- Responsible for understanding requirements and challenges of Analytics and Data Transformation solutions to provide solutions, suggestions and recommendations
- Participate in and support the Self-Service Program by providing subject matter expertise in self-service tools while enforcing best practice and governance models
Requirements:
- Undergraduate Degree (Accounting, Banking, Economics, Finance, Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred)
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science, Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years of analysis experience in software development projects working in a corporate environment
- Direct experience working with BI & Reporting technologies, including Cognos, Qlik, Tableau, Alteryx or Power BI
- Basic technical knowledge (e.g. programming skills, database design / SQL, application architecture)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and able to manage priorities and multiple work streams
- Experience in various software methodologies such as Waterfall or Agile
- Ability to work independently and lead small to medium projects
