As a Business Analyst, you’ll deliver value on a regular basis for both internal and public-facing web applications supporting a federal agency, with the goal to make an impact across the federal government.

What you’ll do: 

• Support functional QA Testing for web applications to ensure that all code is tested properly prior to deployment.
• Write and refine user stories in Jira, plan technical projects, assist with backlog refinement and management, and support QA testing as part of a dynamic DevSecOps team in a federal agency environment.
• Help to run all agile ceremonies across development sprints.
• Collaborate with software developers, QA testers, scrum masters, Database Administrators, and UX specialists to continuously deliver new features and enhancements.

What you’ll need to succeed: 

• 4+ years as a business analyst in an agile software development environment.
• 4+ years writing user stories in Jira or a similar program.
• 4+ years of experience writing Acceptance Criteria in Gherkin format.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, along with experience supporting functional QA testing in a dynamic agile environment.
• Experience building out and tracking epics for the delivery of new functionality in a web application.
• Experience reporting on the progress of epics to leadership, communicating the impacts of progress.
• Experience collaborating with developers, testers, and UX design specialists to refine requirements and provide inputs into artifacts such as wireframes and requirements documentation.
• Ability to understand basic elements of web development, including HTML/CSS/JS.
• Ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust.
