Your role in helping us shape the future:
Join our dynamic and innovative team of Data Management professionals who specialize in designing and delivering solutions to enable big data analytics which support the growth and performance of our inflight connected experience under Intelsat's Commercial Aviation (Gogo) division.
You will play a vital role in analyzing data solutions that enable seamless integration and flow of data into Intelsat data platform. You will technically analyze data features which support the strategic data/analytical objectives of Intelsat CA and airline partners. You are assertive and inquisitive in your journey to understand customer requirements and existing environments to better translate these into pipelines that meet data availability needs.
Are you up to the challenge?

• Utilizes a rigorous data analysis and design methodology that consistently yields the right level of technical design documentation that conform both to customer requirements and information development standards.
• Uses advance analytics skills to analyze data and to create technical documents to ingest and integrate data into Unified Data Platform.
• Designing, Documenting, and supporting a platform that can provide access to large datasets.
• Works as equals with Data Engineers, Quality Engineers, BI Developers and Data Analysts to establish optimal data analysis and design which properly serves technical teams and our user community. Identifies risks, tradeoffs, and investment decisions to facilitate best approach.
• Work with all stakeholders to define and document the use cases and product requirements that will determine the success of the solution.
• Translate high level business requirements into detailed business requirements as well as mapping to required technical specifications.
• Provide other documentation as needed such as data flow specifications, process diagrams, and other models to clarify the desired solutions.
• Work with the team leads, collaboratively using JIRA, to help prioritize stories, tasks and their dependencies to ensure a smooth agile process.
• Provide input in test plans and participate in writing test cases, test execution and defect reporting to ensure that solutions implemented meet requirements and are both of high quality and operationally sustainable.
• Self-managed approach to effectively gather and communicate project expectations in a clear and concise fashion to multiple stakeholders.

• Participate in project meetings and stand ups and provide insight as appropriate.
• Documenting and reporting to project leadership.

You should definitely have:

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical staff, non-technical staff, all levels of management, and clients.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized with outstanding problem-solving skills.
• Perform business process re-engineering and transformations. Understand disparate functionalities arising from various business units from a technical point of view.
• Experience with Big data, AWS, SQL databases, data profiling and analysis.
• Technical understanding of data integration and analytical patterns.
• Experience in writing technical specifications, data solutions and distributed infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related technology.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant data analysis experience; 2+ years utilizing cloud-based services.
• Experience with agile methodology and using Jira for project tracking.

It would be nice if you had:

• Experience with programming language like Python and Scala.
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI or similar data visualization tools
• Experience in airline / aviation, internet, or telecommunications
