Job Summary: The Business Analyst position provides individuals an opportunity to apply their skills in a dynamic work environment while developing well-rounded competencies in ISN’s products and services. As a member of ISN’s Products Team, the Business Analyst facilitates the software change requests to ISNetworld applications and technologies and acts a liaison between the Business teams and the Products team. The Business Analyst represents the “voice of the customer”. The position exposes individuals to the complete Software Development Life Cycle.

1.0 Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate the software change requests for updates to ISNetworld applications and environments:
    o Collect customer ideas and internal change requests for ISNetworld on the assigned products that align with ISN’s business strategy that allow for future advancement and expansion of usage
    o Plan for feature releases and communicate across the company
    o Assist Software Engineering team in understanding the need and request for change
    o Help the Product Owner in understanding what is a priority for the business
    o Liaise with Products Owner to develop User Acceptance Criteria for User Stories
    o Liaise with Products Owner to identify and capture the return on investment (ROI) of projects
    o Act as a product expert on assigned tools and monitor incoming issues to navigate follow up action
    o Monitor Azure DevOps to ensure that bugs and Product Backlog Items (PBI’s) are tested in a timely manner
    o Complete meeting notes for applicable stakeholder/project meetings
    o Complete testing of product updates based on assigned products/tools
    o Coordinates the release checklist for large product feature releases to customers
  • Maintain and grow product expertise:
    o Expert on assigned products/tools, which will be heavy use tools for customers
    o Have a working knowledge of additional products/tools/features in ISNetworld
    o Familiar with the Agile Scrum framework
    o Create and maintain Salesforce Knowledge with product business rules and setup guides
  • Manage additional/multiple projects that run simultaneously
  • Proactively analyze and bring forth ideas for continual improvement
  • Monitor and respond to Product Support Tickets assigned
  • Act as a product expert in Usability Group Meetings, Client Round Tables, and Functionality Review customer meetings
  • Support the continued improvement of product and process knowledge of team members through documentation, coordination of trainings and communication on enhancements/feature changes (including bi-weekly recaps)
  • Coordinate customer access to the API and support the ISNetworld product integrations to customer internal systems
  • Support technical implementation and maintenance of third-party applications (as applicable)
  • Contribute to Client security questionnaires, requests for proposals/information as needed
  • Support and participate in the organizations’ Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS and ISMS objectives
  • All employees have a professional duty to provide any information related to security issues, incidents or situations that present a potential security risk to the ISO Team, ISN Management or their Supervisor
  • Other tasks and projects as directed by supervisor

2.0 Requirements
2.1 Education and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and/or equivalent work experience

2.2 Knowledge and Skills

  • 2+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst role
  • 2+ years’ experience in project management
  • Industry experience in the business analyst role or similar position
  • Experience in Agile Scrum methodology preferred
  • Working knowledge of products/tools/features in ISNetworld
  • Proficient computer skills in programs including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and e-mail applications
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Demonstrated personal initiative
  • Proficient presentation skills
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

3.0 Physical and Safety Requirements

  • Sitting, bending, standing, walking, typing and/or speaking at least 8 hours per day
  • Able to regularly lift and move up to 15 lbs

ISN is based in Dallas, TX. The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is the fourth largest metropolitan area in the country, with a wide variety of excellent schools, entertainment venues, sports teams, and museums. ISN’s headquarters is in uptown Dallas, a short walk from multiple restaurants and shops, with easy access to public transportation and major highways.

Employees must be within a commutable distance to the Dallas, TX office and be willing to come into the office on weekly basis for required trainings, events, team activities, and meetings.
