Business Analyst

Precise is seeking a Business Analyst as part of a software development organization to work with internal and external customer teams to support requirements elicitation, test case development, help desk support, and other project activities.

This position will be fully remote for people in the United States East Coast or Central Time zones. 

The ideal candidate will be a quick study who enjoys communicating with people. They will listen deeply and understand business needs to translate them into requirements (user stories) for their testability and explain them to testers and developers.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct meetings to elicit, define and document requirements from sponsors and end users
• Conduct qualitative analysis of existing implementations and provide thoughtful, strategic improvement recommendations
• Translate requirements into clear acceptance criteria
• Create mockups, process flow diagrams/charts, functional & design documents
• Assist the product owner with prioritizing the backlog
• Take requirements feedback from the team to enhance them upon client's approval
• ​Develop and maintain requirements management lifecycle artifacts
• Create/maintain SIT scripts
• Troubleshoot help desk tickets and follow guidelines for escalation

Skills Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience performing as an analyst and tester
• Highly organized and ability to work independently on assigned tasks
• Strong facilitation skills of customer meetings
• Must demonstrate a sense of urgency
• Communicate proactively to achieving team and individual objectives
• Ability to quickly grasp and understand technical concepts and systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education​:
​Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent based on evaluation of academic credentials, training and/or experience), as well as 3 years of related business analysis/requirements gathering.
