Job Description
myDigitalOffice (MDO) is a cloud-based information management platform that brings together data from multiple hotel systems, enabling hospitality professionals to access their hotels' data from one place and in real time. In addition to being the one-stop shop reporting hub for hoteliers, MDO also provides digital document and contract management services that streamline the auditing process, eliminating the need to print and store documents. MDO’s mission is to help hotels drive operational efficiencies through innovation and advanced technologies that contribute to the industry’s sustainability initiative.
Reporting to the Product Owner, the Business Analyst works within a team responsible for helping define the functional and technical requirements for the Budgeting and Forecasting product within the myDigitalOffice ecosystem. The Business Analyst exhibits strong business process knowledge, high attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the drive to help build a scalable and high-performing software product.
Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the product owner, distill business requirements documents into distinct user stories that address functional requirements and deliver business value
Responsible for prioritizing sprints to deliver business outcomes in accordance with strategic roadmaps and initiatives
Responsible for participating in scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, grooming, and daily stand-ups
Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, enforcing and redefining as necessary
Coordinate the User Acceptance Testing process with internal and external stakeholders and work with Product Owners to ensure test results are consistently documented and reviewed
Investigate and analyze operational issues and produce documentation to support the resolution process
Minimum of 4 years of business analysis experience supporting a digital product
Great communication skills and experience working in a cross-functional team environment
Understanding of platform integrations, development operations, and scrum methodology
Ability to handle multiple projects and manage toward deadlines and deliverables
Working knowledge of SQL required
Experience working in the hospitality industry is a plus
