Simple Technology Solutions (STS) is currently recruiting for an anticipated proposal for a contract with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement Removal Operations portfolio. This project will deal with workflows and field actions between state and local law enforcement and federal ICE agents when a suspected criminal alien is detained. Â
This position is contingent upon contract award and client acceptance.Â
The Role
Simple Technology Solutions (STS) is looking for a Business Analyst to add to our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing user needs and translating them into detailed requirements for IT products and services. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to gather, document, and update requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Your expertise will be critical in facilitating systems integration and assessing the feasibility of proposed solutions.Â
Additionally, you will employ various methods such as workshops, interviews, process modeling, surveys, and research to identify and document requirements effectively. This role requires a deep understanding of requirements management, elicitation, and solution assessment, ensuring that IT solutions are delivered to the highest standards of quality.
The Business Analyst at STS will:Â
- Analyze user needs and develop comprehensive requirements, including specifications, feasibility studies, and requirement analysis for IT products and services.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure seamless systems integration and alignment with technical specifications.
- Utilize a diverse set of methods, including workshops, interviews, process modeling, surveys, and research, to identify and document requirements accurately.
- Maintain and update requirements documentation, including business process flows, functional specifications, use cases, test plans, and supplementary specifications.
- Lead Joint Application Development (JAD) requirements workshops, fostering collaboration and consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- Develop and prioritize user stories in collaboration with business sponsors, stakeholders, project sponsors, product owners, and development teams.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate solutions, ensuring completed user stories and associated test criteria are achieved.
Required Experience and Education
- A Bachelorâs degree in a related field or study.Â
- A minimum of five (5) or more years of position related experience in an Enterprise IT environment.
- Experience with requirements tools and tracking (e.g. JIRA, Version One).
- Experience facilitating Joint Application Development (JAD) requirements workshops.
- Experience developing user stories, including facilitation, prioritization, and negotiation with business sponsors, stakeholders, project sponsors, product owners, and development teams.
- Experience creating and maintaining requirements documentation, including business process flows, functional specifications, use cases, test plans, and supplementary specifications.
- Experience leading UAT, including successful outcomes of achieving completed user stories and associated test criteria.
