Business Analyst

About the Role
The Business Analyst will assist our Research Product teams to ensure that complex business solutions are implemented effectively and delight clients. This position is based in our Chicago office and reports into the Product Manager within our Enterprise Components team. The primary responsibilities in this role will be to perform detailed requirements analysis on implementation projects, offer local manual QA support to our Client Delivery squads that have developers and to provide second-level support on client-reported issues.
Job Responsibilities
* Collect and document business requirements.
* Translate business requirements to development tasks and work within JIRA to document those tasks
* Document product details, functions and mappings
* Work with development teams to understand the requirements and tasks required to deliver those requirements
* Assist with quality assurance testing
* Collect client feedback from User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and document issues for the development team
* Assist with second-level product support.
Qualifications
* One+ years' experience in a support, data analyst or project manager role.
* Self-motivated, excellent work ethic, strong problem solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work in a team environment.
* Experience with or exposure to Agile and software development.
* Project management skills, attention to detail & experience working with offshore teams desirable.
* A friendly professional demeanor and ability to excel in a highly collaborative team environment.
* Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
* Basic knowledge of JIRA, Confluence Wiki, SQL, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, and/or Amazon Web Service is preferable.
* A bachelor's degree is required.

* CFA charter holder or CFA candidate is a plus
* Morningstar product knowledge is a plus
