Job Title: Business Analyst
Reports To: Product Manager / Senior Product Manager
Location: Pune, India
Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to join our product team, who will be primarily responsible for collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, for delivering product roadmaps and monitoring product performance. Additionally, the Analyst will be responsible for interacting with customers for requirement elicitation, building user stories, conducting market research and facilitating sprints. They will also play a major role in release management, coordinating for internal product communications, as well as assist in post-deployment support along with the engineering team.
Responsibilities:
Roadmap Development:
- Work closely with product managers to prioritize features and enhancements based on data-driven insights, user feedback, and business goals.
- Assist in the development of the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs, market trends, and company objectives.
- Conduct ROI analysis and cost-benefit assessments to evaluate the potential impact of proposed features on product success and profitability.
Requirements Management:
- Lead the process of gathering requirements from customers, ensuring clear understanding and documentation of business needs and objectives.
- Translate the gathered requirements into detailed user stories, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
- Prepare comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), documenting functional and non-functional requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in sprint planning sessions, working with delivery and engineering to prioritize and scope user stories for inclusion in upcoming development sprints.
Product Management Support:
- Support the user acceptance testing activities, ensuring that developed features meet user expectations and acceptance criteria.
- Manage the release process for new product features and enhancements, coordinating with engineering & QA teams to ensure smooth and timely releases.
- Evaluate and prioritize change requests, assessing their impact on product functionality, timeline, and resources.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure that product features and enhancements are designed to optimize user experience and usability.
Stakeholder Management:
- Provide training and support to internal teams and stakeholders on new product features, functionality, and updates.
- Draft comprehensive release notes detailing new features, enhancements, and fixes included in each product release.
- Communicate product updates, feature releases, and important announcements to customers through various channels, such as email, newsletters, and in-app notifications.
- Support sales teams in Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and product demos.
Post-launch Support and Analysis:
- Provide assistance to customers post-launch, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
- Monitor and analyse product usage metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, driving insights for future product enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Graduate or MBA from top tier Engineering/Business school.
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst preferably in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Certifications in Scrum/Agile methodologies is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a lean team and willing to take on responsibility.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and a passion for driving product innovation and growth.
