Business Analyst

The Business Analyst is a key member of the CDPHP team whose main focus is to define and design requirements for key initiatives that support stated business objectives. This position will work closely with business units and technical system teams to ensure that business rules, requirements and decisions for new initiatives are identified, analyzed, documented, and integrated smoothly into production business systems and processes. This individual will be an integral part of the full software development life cycle (SDLC) and will act as a key player between business partners and the development team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates degree required. Two (2) years relevant experience may be substituted for degree.
• Minimum number years of relevant business experience: Five (5) years
• Proficiency in business operational practices, business rules, and business processes.
• Excellent business writing and documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitation and presentation skills, and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of management, operational, support staff, and external parties including partners and/or vendors.
• Strong analytical skills and a general understanding of how Information Systems are developed.
• Knowledge of the healthcare industry, particularly from the perspective of the payer or insurer, leading to ability to effectively comprehend and articulate business needs, and also to advise business and IT units of opportunities and constraints is preferred
• Ability to work in fast paced work environment is required
• Experience with Confluence and JIRA is preferred.
• CCBA® certification from IIBA is preferred. Ability to obtain CCBA® certification from IIBA within 3 years otherwise
