Business Analyst
Job Description
As a Homecare Homebase Product Business Analyst, you care about the details. Because you care about making the lives of nearly 150,000 users better, you strive to listen to their needs and to understand their challenges including how state and federal regulations contribute to those challenges. Once you do understand, you jump into action with your team and outline the most important problems to solve for customers.
Your blend of business and technical savviness, understanding of Homecare Homebase and our customer's business objectives, and your drive to execute makes you successful.
Day to day, you are responsible for exploring and outlining details to illuminate the business need. That includes reading detailed regulations and requirements documentation, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring smooth communication among your peer product management teammates.
Duties:
- Gather requirements for product modifications from customers, subject matter experts, and other product managers
- Develop functional specifications for product modifications and manage projects through the development cycle
- Answer questions and research issues from internal staff
- Assist with managing the project queue
- Engage regulatory bodies to seek clarification or represent Homecare Homebase positions
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into plain and unambiguous English
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex research findings
- 3+ years business analyst experience
- An ambitious, innovative self-starter with curiosity and passion
- Ability to self-manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent organizational and teamwork skills
Key responsibilities
- Read, understand, and interpret federal and/or state regulatory requirements
- Ongoing collaboration with product management and other internal groups to deliver internal/external impact analysis:
- Product
- Customer
- Market
- Interact with customers, regulatory bodies, consultants, partner vendors, and certification entities
Other Requirements
- This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites (25%)
- HCHB requires all applicants to be US citizens or have a green card allowing them to work in the US without being subject to export control restrictions.
