Join us as a Data Movement Systems Business Analyst!

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Systems Business Analyst in our Data Movement organization.

Position Summary:

The Data Movement Systems Business Analyst will be responsible for detailed analysis work related to data movement initiatives and projects, supporting initiatives on data moving within the firm as well as external transmissions. Initiatives include, but are not limited to, assisting with the analysis, recommendation, and formalization of procedures and processes for the data movement production teams as well as analyzing and implementing the best ways to automate these process and workflows including tracking and approvals.

The Data Movement Business Analyst would also be involved in analysis work related to all strategic data movement projects, including assistance with RFP processes, vendor alignment, and assisting in the implementation of strategic goals.

Principle Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Create, Measure and report on metrics for data movement as will be defined
  • Work with the data movement team to identify opportunities to automate processes and assist with implementation to achieve objectives
  • Review and assist in development of business case documentation, project plans and project workflows
  • Assist in the implementation of a multi-year roadmap of initiatives to uphold the long-term Data Movement strategy
  • Translate business requests into IT requirements and support the creation, testing and implementation
  • Interview / collaborate with SMEs within business and systems groups to become informed in the current process with the hoped of improving productivity and eliminating risk

Candidate Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems, and/or equivalent work experience
  • 2 to 3 years financial services experience
  • Exposure to project work and project planning
  • Ability to analyze current workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Strong documentation and written communication skills
  • Ability to use standard desktop tools effectively (Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office)
