Job description

Team: Analyst

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Business Analyst - Assistant Manager in India.

This role sits at the intersection of business analysis, technology delivery, and capital markets operations within a fast-paced financial services environment. You will be responsible for translating complex business needs into clear functional and technical requirements that support real-time transaction processing systems. Working closely with stakeholders across business, development, and QA teams, you will help drive software releases in a structured monthly cycle. The position requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across global teams. You will also play a key role in solution design, testing coordination, and production support for critical financial applications. This is a high-impact role where your work directly supports trading, post-trade processing, and collateral operations in a global investment environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage end-to-end activities within a monthly software release cycle, ensuring timely delivery of enhancements and fixes with minimal supervision.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements by coordinating closely with business users, developers, and stakeholders across multiple locations.
  • Develop detailed functional specifications, use cases, and test cases while ensuring full test coverage and high-quality documentation for each release.
  • Support solution design by performing data analysis, defining mappings and transformations, and translating business needs into technical requirements.
  • Participate in production support, including release weekend activities, issue triage, and resolution of system-related incidents.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to present solutions, optimize business processes, and support decision-making on system enhancements.
  • Ensure alignment with SDLC methodologies (Agile/Waterfall) and contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes.
  • Requirements:

    • 7+ years of experience in capital markets, ideally within asset management, investment banking, or related financial services environments.
    • Strong understanding of post-trade processing and trade lifecycle across instruments such as equities, fixed income, FX, derivatives, and repos.
    • Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases (Sybase preferred) for data analysis and validation.
    • Solid experience in software testing methodologies including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
    • Exposure to production support, incident management, and Agile tools such as Jira and Agile boards.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Good understanding of SDLC processes and experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments.
    • Exposure to Unix environments and basic knowledge of XML/XSD is a plus.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with global, cross-functional teams.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive compensation aligned with industry standards.
      • Hybrid work model offering flexibility between remote and office-based work.
      • Opportunity to work in a global financial services environment focused on digital transformation and innovation.
      • Exposure to advanced technologies including cloud, AI, and automation initiatives.
      • Career growth opportunities within a large-scale, technology-driven organization.
      • Inclusive workplace culture with strong emphasis on learning and professional development.
      • Access to global teams, complex financial systems, and high-impact projects in capital markets.
