Description Summary: The Business Analyst II (Business Intelligence) is responsible for analyzing business requirements and managing projects to successful completion for Business Intelligence and Business Operations projects. The BI Team is tasked with critical internal business operations projects to improve internal efficiencies as well as development of business intelligence products for M3.       Â
Essential Duties:
The duties listed below are the essential functions of this position, and they may change as the needs of the company demand. All associates are expected to do what is necessary to get the work done and to cooperate fully with their supervisor’s requests for additional or altered duties.Â
- Responsible for the on time and “done well” delivery of internal business applications projects.
- Represent the end user as a subject matter expert pertaining to M3 internal software applications and processes as a member of an agile development team.
- Prioritize and manage the sprint backlog based on company priorities and sprint goals.
- Lead backlog grooming, refinement, and sprint planning meetings as a member of an agile development team
- Provide project status updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
- Determine and define project scope and objectives.
- Identify key metrics to measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Owns requirements across the SDLC through production and works independently to elicit and document business and functional requirements, based on project scope defined by stakeholders and business goals.
- Create help and supporting content for internal software applications and processes.
- Assist in evaluating vendors and 3rd party applications for use by M3.
- Other duties as assigned.Â
Education/Training/Experience:
- 5 or more years of project management and related experience.
- 3+ years working in an agile development using Scrum or Kanban.
- Completion of a Bachelors Degree is required. Strong preference for the completion of a major in IT, MIS, or Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have experience using project management software.
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
- Must have strong written and verbal skills in English and ability to communicate effectively.
- Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications especially in MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
- Experience using MS Project, Aha!, and Azure DevOps Services.Â
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to perform work on a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to work in the office regularly, or pivot to working at home should emergency situations arise.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time representing the company’s interests required.
- Ability to attend work per assigned schedule and attend meetings with excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to bend and lift up to 25 lbs.
