Business Analyst (CPQ) - The Toro Company
Job Description
Support the Configure Price Quote (CPQ) system and the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform used by The Toro Company (TTC) business unit Sales and Marketing teams and Channel Partner Customers.
The Business Analyst II / CPQ Administrator is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of our CPQ system so that users can configure, price and quote TTC products and sell TTC equipment to end customers without error.
Responsible for supporting the CPQ and CRM systems to help achieve Sales and Marketing goals.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Review, understand and implement CPQ product configuration change requests from Marketing managers.
2. Ensure users (internal and external) have access to the CPQ system with the correct security permissions
3. Serve as a liaison between the business (sales and marketing) and I.T. on CPQ and CRM system issues and enhancements.
4. Direct customer support and interactions. Responsible for first level support for questions from users (internal and external) regarding CPQ and CRM. Escalate issues to I.T. or the vendor.
5. Complete the testing process for CPQ and CRM system upgrades and implementation of regular releases, new functionality and enhancements.
6. Ensure user compliance with the business unit Sales process as it relates to the use of CRM.
7. Recommend functionality enhancements and process improvements to engage and motivate the sales team to utilize CRM platform as a beneficial tool for their daily business activities and customer interactions.
8. Represent the business unit on enterprise-wide CRM teams focused on improving and standardizing CRM processes.
9. Create reports and dashboards that support business goals and objectives. Ensure all data is accurate.
10. Identify and analyze problems, determine causes, evaluate alternative solutions, and make recommendations for action.
11. Gather the CPR and CRM requirements of internal and external customers.
12. Communicate updates or new releases to Sales, Marketing, Channel Partners and other users.
13. Provide CPQ and CRM training to internal personnel and members of distribution.
14. Draft and maintain systems and process documentation.
15. Assist in the planning, implementation and completion of special projects or requests that enhance and support the business unit strategies and tactics.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or marketing preferred, or related field
- 2 to 4 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience using a CPQ system
- CPQ administrator knowledge and experience a plus
- Knowledge and demonstrated CRM Administration experience is helpful but not required. Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Experience directly supporting customers
- Experience working with vendors
- Ability to gain clear understanding of Toro sales and marketing processes
- Strong time management skills. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests.
- Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written.) Ability to communicate with Sales, Marketing and I.T. staff at all levels of the organization.
- Intermediate Microsoft excel skills required and demonstrated ability with other Microsoft office products
- Proven capability to learn and apply new software and web-based applications
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills. Position requires math, research, data analysis, and ability to draw conclusions and create methodologies used to accomplish business team goals.
- Prior experience in manufacturing is a benefit
- Must be able to work independently as well as perform as a member of a team

- Works directly with team members across the business and external vendors
- Internal customers include business unit Management team, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Programs Administration
- External customers include Channel Partners
- Travel Requirements: Occasional. Less than 20%
