Job Description:
Bank of America's Global Information Security group is looking for a Business Analyst to join their Cybersecurity Technology team. This role is responsible for capturing and supporting delivery of business and/or system requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities include working with stakeholders to understand their needs, capture their requirements, perform impact analysis, and then working closely with the Development Team(s) and Product Owner(s) to refine requirements into user stories that can be executed by the team. Individuals in this role possess a working knowledge of the business/technical domain and the main applications within that domain.
Primary Level of Engagement: Works as a team member or across multiple teams, under supervision from a more senior domain expert.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand stakeholder needs to help envision and create a solution to solve a problem.
  • Support cost/benefit analysis to align technology solutions to business strategy.
  • Gather and catalog functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests.
  • Provide subject matter expertise within the business/technical domain to support scope and requirement decisions
  • Determine the impact of modifications and enhancements to applications and assist with identifying integration points and the end-to-end solution design.
  • Ensure changes to the application are compliant with bank standards and policies.
  • Work closely with the stakeholders to ensure changes meet bank requirements including assisting with acceptance testing where needed.
  • Assist users and development teams in user acceptance testing and troubleshooting, and may help with test planning and configuring test solutions to validate functional and system needs.
  • Document processes, procedures and workflows associated with applications.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to create, analyze, and improve processes and solutions.

Required Skills:
  • Experience working in Agile methodology and a deep understanding of various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Experience with Business Processing Modeling.
  • Comfort utilizing Jira to manage user stories and project plans.
  • Experience using visualization tools (draw.io, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.) to communicate requirements in a visual format.

Ensures changes to the application are compliant with bank standards and policies. Assists users and development team with application testing and troubleshooting, and may help configure test solutions to validate functional and system needs. Identifies, document and troubleshoot application related problems. Documents process, procedures and workflows associated with applications. Leads or participate in continuous improvement efforts; Building expertise in creating, analyzing, and improving processes. Creates, maintains and presents training materials for end-users.
